The Dover George

My husband booked me a night at the Dover George so I could have a night to myself and be pampered. Well, pampered I was!! The hotel is absolutely STUNNING, every single part of it. It is so beautifully decorated and has a certain comfortable feel to it that makes you feel right at home. The details within the hotel are next level- from the coffee, to the natural soaps to the type of tissue they have! It was all lovely. After I had a very luxurious sleep, the breakfast I was served was soooo good (which was cooked by the owner herself). They listened to my dietary restrictions and created a 5 star meal. For anyone who is travelling to Norfolk County, or for locals who need a staycation, this is the place for you!

Recently attended a dinner hosted by The Dover George featuring Thrive Norfolk. Excellent venue, excellent hosts and excellent food/drinks. We added a wine pairing to our dinner and it was well worth it. We did not stay in any of the rooms but would certainly come back for a getaway in the future. If you are thinking about it, just do it!

Had such a great staycation at The Dover George! Rooms were immaculate, attention to detail was impressive. Service and hospitality were second to none. The owners knew we were staying/getting in late after a wedding and prepared the most thoughtful post-wedding recovery basket. Our breakfast the next morning was so fresh and delicious. Whether you live half a hour away and just need a treat yourself night, or you’re coming for a vacation, I can’t recommend enough!
