J'ai eu le privilège de rencontrer Dre Long lors d'une de mes nombreuses hospitalisations en 2022 à la Cité de la Santé de Laval. Mon endocrinologue de l'époque se trouvait à Montréal, les déplacements étaient pas mal compliqués pour moi. Notre rencontre eut lieu lors de l'une de ses rondes quotidiennes. Dès le premier abord j'étais séduit par la profondeur des connaissances de Dre Long, étant diabétique depuis trente ans j'avais appris suffisamment sur ma maladie pour comprendre et surtout poser les questions qui m'importaient. Dre Long a pris le temps de m'écouter, de revenir sur des détails, la minutie faisant partie de sa culture professionnelle. Je fus comblé d'apprendre qu'elle me prenait pour patient, on sait bien combien il est difficile de trouver un médecin spécialiste, elle était toute disponible et m'accueillait avec le sourire (rare, très rare de sentir un médecin sourire). Depuis ma rencontre avec Dre Long, j'avoue avoir fait un acte de confiance, le changement du protocole de ma médicamentation, posologie, etc. Chaque fois que je la rencontre en clinique j'ai du plaisir et suis impressionné par la mémoire de mon médecin, elle se rappelle de tous les détails que nous avons discutés du rendez-vous précédent, y compris les détails les plus anodins. En définitive, après bien des expériences pas nécessairement faciles auprès de différents professionnels de la santé, Dre Long est aussi dans mon trop trois meilleurs ! - MB Reply
