Hey family, Here's my honest review of the time my wife & I visited "The fish and chips" in Belleville. When we arrived there weren't too many guests and there was plenty of parking. We were immediately greeted upon entry and sat by the windows. The server was kind and reflected a positive attitude which was nice considering she was all alone serving the whole restaurant. We ordered the classic, haddock and chips and man oh man was it absolutely delicious. Reminded us of the fish and chips we had in Halifax. The batter was cooked to perfection and the fries were so tasty! The portions were HUGE and service was prompt. While dining there were a lot of locals taking "take-out" and it was no shocker as this restaurant has a good thing going. Overall, if you're craving some classic tasting Fish and Chips you MUST check out this location.

Visited the town for the solar eclipse 2024 and stumbled upon this restaurant. Didnt really do any research and just walked in, and surprisingly the food was really good. Fish was very well fried with clean oil, making it very crispy. Having a fish & salad option was amazing because i normally cant finish the fries (a bit to greasy afterall). The salad was good too. I will definitely re-visit this restaurant if i come back to Belleville again.

Great Fish & Chips. Batter was liter in colour and thinner than most places, which (I forgot) makes it really nice and fresh tasting - batter didn’t overpower the Haddock. Batter Pulled in Lemon and Malt vinegar flavours (my preference) nicely. Quality check a little delayed but just the one girl serving, polite & friendly. Clean washrooms! Atmosphere a little quite and dark but again very clean so dinning tables & booths, cutlery, plates and even the condiments bottles & jars were 10/10 clean.

CAPTAIN GEORGE'S FISH AND CHIPS REVIEWS

Located in Cobourg, this place has some tasty items to offer. From fish & chips to salads and souvlaki they have some great options on their menu. Had a good experience at Captain George’s. Service is quick and the food is amazing. Tried both haddock and halibut. Must visit. Recommend.

Have been going here for years.. we always do dine in. In our experience when you order fish and chips on take away - even if your only driving a few minutes to get home it gives the chance for the steam to make the chips and batter damp or soggy (have eaten F&C in Canada, US, Ireland, Scotland, England and it’s the same).. so we prefer to eat in. We personally like thin crispy batter on our fish. Tip: if you have to do take out put F&C in an air fryer for a couple minutes to get rid of the steam that has accumulated on your drive home.

I got the Fisherman’s Platter with cod, shrimp, scallops & chips. Service was quick, & everything was hot and delicious! The fish was flaky and tender on the inside and perfectly battered and crispy on the outside. The shrimp and scallops were awesome too. They are also clearly cutting their own fries, which were just perfect. I’ve tried fish and chips all over this area and this was by far the best I’ve had. I’m definitely going back.

WIMPY’S DINER BELLEVILLE REVIEWS

Great all day breakfast , this restaurant is underrated for their great breakfast menu offering home fries , real meat which aesthetically wasn’t very appealing but felt homely and healthy. Served lady was pleasant and communicated well. This restaurant will give you 80s vibes and will checkout later for a late night dinner. This is my review for their breakfast menu and everyone pls give them a chance for dining in.

By far the best breakfast in town! Love the club sandwich, the hot hamburger and so much more! Service is always amazing as well and the oldies music just tops off the whole experience. I can never understand why this place isn't packed when we come. Ya'll are missing out on some great food.

Great food, amazing service and an atmosphere that can't compare. We had an amazing lunch. Thank you so much we will be back.
