“Parc national d'Oka is a scenic, small provincially administered park that covers an area of 23.7 square kilometres and includes beaches and marshes. It is located 30.8km downtown from Mirabel, QC. The park is well known for its rich historical and natural heritage. Parc national d'Oka is accessible year-round and offers many fun activities for everyone in the family. Visitors can also spin the wheels of their mountain bikes and ride on horseback. There is a playground which helps families have a more relaxing time. The staff in the park will keep passing to check on spots.

2025 Update: The Park is home to one of the largest heronries in Quebec and the historical site of Calvaire d'Oka shrine, which dates from 1740.”

“Bois de Belle-Rivière has specially designed trails to walk with your dog, on horseback, or get on your bike. Bois de Belle-Rivière has an ice rink of significant size that can be used to play hockey games in the wilderness. Shelters and marquees are available for rent on the sites. Bois de Belle-Rivière can be used both in summer and winter. A network of hiking trails in an enchanting setting is available for your hikes, accompanied or not by your dog. Bois de Belle-Rivière offers a network of hiking trails that cross the two gardens and a wild forest. The park also provides treasure hunting and GPS rally activities. The park has swimming infrastructure with several bodies of water (including the Naya basin), two water games, and a paddling pool. The trails are open all year round. Bois de Belle-Rivière provides an annual pass.

2025 Update: Bois de Belle-Rivière has an area of 176 hectares. In winter, users can skate freely on a 2.5 kilometres (1.6-mile) ice trail in the forest. The park also offers 7 kilometres (4.3 miles) of beginner-level ski touring or off-piste snowshoeing activity. The sliding slope on tubes has a height of 20 metres (66 ft). The park organizes evenings illuminated with soft, multicoloured lights.”

“Parc du Domaine Vert aims to offer activities for families, school groups, and businesses. This place is excellent for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and hiking. The Quebec Cities and Towns Act governs the park and maintains its one thousand five hundred (1,500) acres of land. There are so many different trails that are accessible every day. These trails are well-maintained and can be used in both winter and summer. Parc du Domaine Vert is a fabulous place for cross-country skiing during winter. In summer, visitors can enjoy the tree-to-tree course and access to a swimming pool.

PARC NATIONAL D'OKA REVIEWS

Love this place, specially in week days, when it is not so busy. We love rowing paddle boat there, this is a very good place for it. A lot of things to do in this park. You could just walk and enjoy a fresh air. You could bring your bike, because this place is big enough to make a good trip. Great place for windsurfing or kitesurfing. There are a lot of water activities, you could rent kayak, pedal boat or stand up paddle. You could relax and take sunbathe because there is a very nice sandy beach. You could swim there when the water is warm. You could do a BBQ with your family and friends. You could enjoy a delicious ice-cream. There is a camping and if you get luck to get place you could really connect with the nature.

A great hike/ walk for beginners with a few trails. The trails are very well kept however watch out for the rocks and tree roots along the way. The view is nice but nothing spectacular. This park is a part of Sepaq so there’s a fee to enter (9.25$) which must be paid for online prior to your visit. You can bring dogs (must be on a leash). I’d recommend Oka for sure, it’s not too far of a drive out of the city!

Such a great place overall, though it can be a bit noisy on weekends. The natural beauty, well-maintained trails, and variety of outdoor activities make it worth visiting.

BOIS DE BELLE-RIVIÈRE REVIEWS

We went for a skating in the forest experience and it was amazing. The skating area is well maintained and surface is smooth. The trails going in the forest is mostly flat with little up and down sometimes, and are wide enough for 2 side-by-side. There's also a hockey rink style next to it. Make sure to dress warm as everything is outdoor. There are picnic tables outside for putting skates on, next to the entrance of skating area, and it's safe to leave your shoes there. There are equipment rentals available on place. Great place overall... come near sunset to admire the beautiful sunset!

Very nice park for families with young kids. We went there for an autumn walk, it was beautiful with all the amazing colors. It is easy to get mistaken with all the trails thoigh. We ended up walking the wrong trail for the second half of our hiking, but it doean't matter, as I believe all the trails are beautiful. There is also a playground for kids. There is a fee, $7/adult, $3/kid, free for Mirabel residents.

Massive park! We were here for our friends' wedding yesterday and were impressed with the wide variety of activities available at this park: pools, hiking trails, horses, etc. The event itself was gorgeous and the park staff were polite! We would definitely consider coming back to explore the park, seems like a great place to spend a full day!

What a nice place! Everything is there for a perfect day! Hebertism circuits for all ages, which are really cool! Lots of well-designed trails for walking, cycling, fat biking. Lots of well-appointed places for picnics. Beautiful park for little ones and a beautiful large swimming pool and water games! We really had a great time with our two little grandchildren. Congratulations to this great company!

Pas le centre de vélo de montagne avec le plus de dénivelé, mais les bénévoles ont réussi à faire un réseau de sentiers de vélo de montagne/fat bike vraiment le fun. Très bon endroit pour ceux qui résident à proximité.

Superbe endroit pour des activités de plein air, autant en été qu’en hiver. Les sentiers de marche/ski de fond/vélo sont très bien entretenu, plusieurs tables à l’ombre aux aires de pique-nique, le staff est courtois et avenant, la piscine est toujours propre et les sauveteurs sont alertes! J’adore ce parc!
