MARIO'S KITCHEN REVIEWS

I absolutely love this place! We came across it randomly, as a "near you" recommendation by Google Maps. And let me tell you that the food was SPECTACULAR! I had a special menu item: a Salmon Risotto and it was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered a quesadillas from the happy hour menu and they were really good and very abundant. I loved the atmosphere of this place, fancy but still not so fancy that you actually have to plan to dress up for it, very cozy, and they even have blankets if you decide to sit outside on their patio. I cannot recommend it enough and I cannot wait to go back for more.

Fantastic fall off the bone ribs. We went on Sunday Rib night where a full rack (33$) for the price of half a rack (22$). Mudslide and artichoke dip were also very delicious. Would come back for sure. Kid-friendliness: Plenty of high chairs.

Amazing experience! We were looking for a new restaurant to try, and we couldn't have chosen a better one. Attentive service, comfortable patio, and mouth-watering food! I couldn't recommend it more. We are definitely going to return.

Really enjoyed our dinner here. Great vibe and decor. Good drink & food menus, with something for everyone. Our meals were absolutely delicious, and the affogato was fabulous (the nut crunch, yum) and generous in size. Our server Kelsey was exactly what you'd hope for in a server - fun, magically appearing when needed, clear communication, and helpful. Excellent and highly recommended.

Amazing food for a great price! Service with a smile and a super unique, upscale yet cozy atmosphere for Ladner! Open relatively late in comparison to many other food services in Ladner. Looking forward to going again, sitting on their covered patio (heated too!), sharing a pizza and sampling a variety of their cocktails.

First time there on Saturday…absolutely brilliant food! Cute cozy interior, but we sat outside in the closed in patio. Kid-friendliness: Kids loved their pizza. Kid size pizza is pretty much the same size as regular.

We've heard good things about Illuminate and finally visited, and we weren't disappointed! Great service from start to finish, from the host to our server Sarah. The food was delicious - grilled calamari with pickled fennel, lamb sirloin with risotto and t-bone steak with scalloped potatoes and vegetables. Citrus creme brulee was yummy! Sarah was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, she went above and beyond. We will be back.

Absolutely delicious! 10/10 food, service and atmosphere. Came here with my boyfriend for a late night dinner, our server was Dean. He was excellent and very warm and friendly. We ordered several appetizers and the veal. Everything was excellent! The ingredients are of high quality.

Been here twice now, and both times have been just lovely. The restaurant is soo pretty and the food and drinks were amazing. Service was fantastic both times.
