Moulin Grenier has held the status of a historic building since 1975. François Grenier, its builder, constructed this historical monument in 1820. Today, this windmill is open to the public for exploration. Originally in the possession of the Grenier family for over 80 years, it eventually came under the ownership of the Lebeau family. In 2003, the City of Repentigny took ownership of the Grenier mill and undertook extensive restoration while preserving most of its original components. The construction of this mill, which cost an old currency of 3,000 francs (equivalent to approximately $500 today), is a testament to its historical significance. Visitors can enjoy an interactive guided tour that immerses them in the heritage of Moulin Grenier. The mill is renowned for its permanent exhibitions, offering a rich cultural experience. Furthermore, free outdoor parking is conveniently available, and admission to Moulin Grenier is offered at no cost, making it an accessible and enriching destination.

MOULIN GRENIER REVIEWS
The Grenier mill with the Jetté mill are the two windmills of Repentigny. This banal seigniorial mill, the Grenier mill is the best preserved of the two. It has been completely restored by the municipality. Moreover, visits are organized in the summer to observe the internal mechanisms with the help of guides who tell us about their operation and uses.
We visited it last year, and it's definitely worth it. Very interesting all the history of this mill classified as a historic monument. Free guided tours.
The guides were patient with the children and let them handle them without fear. Nice visit and nice story!
