“Dr. Ryan Coughlin completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at McGill University in Montreal. Subsequently, he pursued a fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at Duke University in North Carolina. His remarkable accomplishments include being honoured with the Feagin Leadership Piedmont Scholar Award. This recognition identifies exceptional individuals tasked with nurturing educational endeavours that center around competencies and conduct linked to proficient and ethical leadership within healthcare. Dr. Ryan Coughlin's research focal points encompass the domains of surgical education and simulation training. He developed the first ever validated low-fidelity arthroscopic simulator designed to train and assess basic surgical skills. Moreover, Dr. Coughlin's clinical research endeavours revolve around evidence-based practices pertinent to youthful hip conditions, such as femoroacetabular impingement and addressing the prevalent knee, shoulder, and elbow issues among athletes.
