3 Best Seafood Restaurants in Cape Breton, NS

My wife and I had the best experience here. The service was the best. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the 4 course lobster dinner. Started with the best seafood chowder I've ever had followed by the best mussels I've ever had and all I could eat. I would have been perfectly satisfied but next was perfectly steamed lobster and a salad. What the heck! Was there more? Yes. Homemade coconut cream pie. And it was awesome. Thank you Baddeck Lobster Suppers for a great meal. Oh and when we were paying we were told the lobster was caught that morning. How do you top that.

Our food was perfectly prepared and the view was spectacular. Our waitress, Jayden, was so sweet and helpful. Highly recommend the 4-course meal, you’ll want to try it all.

Can't recommend this place enough! The portions you get for the price you pay is very good value. And the food is amazing quality! You can tell that they actually make their crab and lobster fresh, unlike other restaurants in the area that reheat from frozen. Great selection of Nova Scotia wines! The potato salad was the best I've ever had! I don't even normally like potato salad, but this was made with whole small potatoes and fresh herbs and an in house made dressing. I'm going to dream about that potato salad. I had the crab supper, I was so full but I kept eating mussels anyway because their mussels were delicious! In addition, you can tell all the staff are happy and care a lot about what they are doing. This businesses owned by a local family and hires people within the local community. When you eat here, you're supporting a community effort. Which is very important to me, as post-pandemic a lot of restaurants have been bought up by people who don't even live in the communities that keep them afloat.

We had a great lunch at Flavor on the Water. Our server, Shivan, recommended the perfect substitution to make a club sandwich vegetarian friendly. My husband really enjoyed it. I had the goat cheese and beet salad, which was fabulous. Service was prompt, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place.

The food was excellent. The service was good. The atmosphere is ok/good as it is the open upstairs to a cruise ship reception area. There is an outdoor patio area but it was raining and not in use. All in all it is worth a visit. Heck the worlds largest fiddle is right there.

Tried the special and it was large enough to be shared by four people. There was a good variety with lobster, fried fish, bacon wrapped scallops, crab cakes, and shrimp. We were seated outside which had a nice view but there was a very loud ship by the harbor. The service was ok which is understandable given the busy time and the staff were friendly.
