Who needs Paris when you can get an amazing croissant right here in Downtown Peterborough? I have enjoyed Helen's wonderful creations such as the delicious breakfast croissantwiches, the chocolate croissant for when I would like a dessert treat or the plain butter croissant that can make you crave this delicious treat for days. I have enjoyed the warm and cold beverages. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. They will endorse a conversation as you wait or provide you space to meet at one of the tables with a colleague or loved one. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. This local business is a must!

From out of town for a hockey game and in search of some specialty coffee. I found Kit C &C and made the short trip downtown. You can find paid street parking or paid lots near by with ease depending on the day. Ambiance inside feels super relaxed and a quaint little spot with some seating for dine ins. Service was really friendly with great coffee (ordered flat white) , fantastic croissants and bagels but, the highlight of the visit was the Lemon meringue cruffin. Never had one but, WOW....great little combo of goodness and I wish I bought 2! I will 100% return the next time I am in town and hopefully early enough to purchase and consume some treats especially another Cruffin!

This is an amazing place where the croissants are melt in your mouth and the staff is friendly, and and community centered. They support the arts (open for first Friday) and stand for kindness and justice, and are there actively making the world a wonderful, peaceful and tasty place. And the coffee is great too!

HARD WINTER BAKERY REVIEWS

Stopped on my way to work today because I kept hearing such good things and was not disappointed. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. Space is beautifully decorated and very, very clean . Scones are amazing ,I had the cheese scone, and it's a good size for my breakfast . It's so flavourful and baked perfectly . I am excited to go back for the breads that looked and smelled amazing . Also, they were very reasonably priced . 14 and change for 2 good-sized scones and 2 very large peanut butter cookies .

The best bakery in Peterborough and one of the best in Kawartha Region. Brownie , Banana loaf, Croissants and Cookies are my favourites. Cameron and other staff members are awesome and we feel welcomed at the store, parking is limited on the road. Store usually opens around 8 am and most of the famous bakery items gets over by around 12pm. if you want to try all the favourites please come before 11am as its a fast selling shop. the bread schedule card attached with my review , i have also attached preorder card for Easter Carrot cakes which are extremely delicious and amazing . thank you hard winter bakery team for the good work.

Beautiful store and brand. Delicious bakery with amazing quality and wonderful staff. They have an amazing selection of gift items plus amazing ice cream sandwiches using there cookies and I enjoy their bread, scones and croissants. Enjoy!

Wonderful bakery full of so many goodies! Great selection of tarts, cookies, & lots more! Their Dutchie was a hit with the hubby. You could actually SEE all the raisins! Unlike others. Also had this delicious cream filled donut that was beyond amazing! Wonderful, friendly & helpful staff! Don't pass up this gem in Peterborough if you're in the area! You WON'T be disappointed!

They make it very difficult to behave!! There's so much to choose from and all very delicious. Today I got the cinnamon buns with cream cheese topping and their scones. Both were very tasty!! Clean store, friendly staff and lots to choose from for your sweet or savory tooth

I liked everything I've tried here. The pie crust is the perfect texture and the cream pies are the best I've ever had. Also enjoy the pot pies, sticky buns, cheese sticks and of course butter tarts.
