UGLY MUG CAFE & EMPORIUM REVIEWS

This place was recommended to me by a Cape Breton’er living in Ontario. This place did not disappoint. The cafe was quite busy just after lunch hour. I ordered a Cafe Mocha and just had to taste their well known cinnamon roll. Both were phenomenal! Highly recommend. The location is in some strip plaza - you likely wouldn’t expect a gem like this to be in there. Inside you have a very relaxed atmosphere. As a tourist it was nice to see some locally sourced items for purchase at the front. Local businesses supporting other local businesses - loved it!

Great place full of locals. Friendly staff, quality baked goods and good prices. Highly recommend this place if you appreciate local business rather than big chains like Robin’s.

DOKTOR LUKE'S-A RESPECTABLE COFFEE HOUSE REVIEWS

This is a great little indie coffee shop in downtown Sydney, NS. I came here looking for good coffee and this place did not disappoint! I had a cafe latte and a cheese and onion scone. Both were delicious. This place has a cool vibe, with wooden tables and chairs, retro knick knacks and games. They even have "Sydneyopoly", a local version of Monopoly. The premises were clean and inviting. The staff were pleasant and service was quick. This place seemed to attract regulars, locals meeting for a coffee, and tourists. Really, if you like great coffee, this is a great place. I look forward to coming back again soon.

It's a nice and cozy coffee shop with friendly staff. I really recommend this spot specially if you are with a cruise ship and have a stop in Sydney's port like me. :)

Great cup of coffee for a long day ahead. Plenty of seating, friendly staffs. Freshly baked bakery, too bad I was too full to try them. Reasonable price.

Love this cozy cafe! Squares from coconut, condense milk with chok picks jus perfect for my sweet tooth!) Chicken club sendwich was yammy and filled me for the whole day! Lovely and friendly personal, flying like a bees around ! Highly recommending to visit this cute cafe! I even purchased a t-shirt, beautiful colour "Bean there", as I've been there;)

The breakfast BlT modified by copying the previous customer was best idea ever … on a sesame bagel yummmmmmm and you meet some very interesting and great people travelling through the island !!! Worth the stop . Oh get the blueberry scone and muffin waaaaoooww.

Came here for breakfast. The coffee was great! I had a scone and though it was more cake-like in consistency than I'm used to, it was still very good. The highlight was the peanut butter and chocolate muffin though. My daughter had that and I was thankful she couldn't finish it so I could :)
