DR. MARK TREISSMAN REVIEWS

Dr. Treissman was the OBGYN on call who performed my emergency c-section at RIH when induction of labour failed. He took the time to answer all of my questions during the consultations and did not rush or pressure me on any decisions I had to make. Although I was nervous for the procedure (especially as I had planned to have a natural birth), he was calm, professional and did his best to put me at ease. The staff that worked alongside him in the OR were equally as wonderful. I am so thankful for his work in helping bring my baby earth side safely and would recommend him to any expecting mother looking for an OBGYN.

I have had Mark as my specialist for the better part of 25 years - I have had 3 different issues - all with excellent results - he is kind, he listens, he never rushes, he gives first class advice - in fact after moving to Vernon - I was disappointed with the decision to let a 5 cm cyst just remain on my ovary while there are changes to it - and another ovary with many clusters of cysts. I am 63 I don't need my ovaries anymore - so I asked to be referred back to Mark in Kamloops. I have lost friends to ovarian cancer and I know this doctor will have it removed. He is a treasure and Kamloops is so fortunate to have his expertise.

If you have PCOS you need to see Dr. Treissman. I have seen numerous 'specialists' whos only treatment was to tell me to lose weight (which is a symptom not the root cause). Dr. Treissman's approach instead has been to actually treat the root cause instead - the hormone irregulation. I've had PCOS my entire life and he was the first Dr who offered me the option to TREAT the hormone problem. Extremely knowledgeable on the syndrome and will work with all options available to treat you.

I cant say enough good things about Dr. Adams. She is so incredibly kind and knowledgeable and put me at complete ease. Never pushing my decision making in one direction. She provided me with lots of written information and let me make the final decision on my treatment plan. She is definitely not a surgery pusher which I so appreciate and does believe in a conservative approach first ( if possible). Her medical assistant Dacia! Unbelievable! So sweet and also very knowledgeable. This is a very busy office, so be patient! These 2 are a wonderful team!!

Dr. Adams was my OB during my High Risk Pregnancy. She was always friendly, knowledgeable, and calm. She always shared the risks and gave suggestions but never pushed anything that I didn’t want. Her assistant is amazing— very friendly, organized, and always on her A-game with scheduling in appointment times!

I was so nervous going to this appointment. Dr. Adams put me at ease. She explained everything and I felt very heard from her. It was a very positive experience! Answered any questions, respected my choices and as I said, put me at ease!

Had Dr BaIkie for my hysterectomy a couple years ago. She was by far the best gynaecologist I have dealt with regarding all my issues. She takes her time with you and made sure I knew all my options. She helped me make an informed decision and took such good care of me. Day of my surgery, she put me at ease, and even followed up personally a couple weeks after to see how I was doing and give me an update on my test results. She makes you feel like a friend more than a patient. I would highly recommend her to anyone, and I even have suggested her to a few friends who I know have had issues with other gynaecologist in town!

Dr. Baikie was my obgyn during my super high risk pregnancy. She was amazing! She is genuine and respectful yet she is very transparent in communicating with her patients in terms of their care. When things became dicey in my pregnancy, she never showed any panic which I hugely appreciated. I would recommend her to anyone! In regards to her medical office assistant, I never had an issue with her. She’s not there to blow sunshine up my a** but she was never rude. She is clear and direct.

Dr. Baikie performed a C-section for me. She was amazing. I was back on my feet in no time. Her staff is remarkable as well. Perfection all the way around!
