3 Best Gynecologists in Whitby, ON

Dr Akingbola and Lisa are fabulous. They are kind, understanding, and very pleasant. If they don't have all the answers immediately, they will get them. If they can't answer the phone when you call, they return calls promptly. Dr Akingbola is a very gentle person with a welcome sense of humour. Being a "mature" woman, I will be forever grateful that I was referred to a doctor who is understanding of this stage of our lives. He gave me my life back. I'm sure there are many women (and their families) who will agree. I have nothing negative to say about Dr Akingbola and his staff.

Dr. Akingbola is a great and knowledgeable doctor. He found out a problem in my pregnancy and without any delay referred me to Mount Sinai clinic for more investigation and I have monitored with them to the end of my pregnancy. I always appreciate Dr. Akigbola prompt and wise actions so he saved me and my baby.

He was able to figure out my fertility issue after many years of trying. Thank you Dr Akingbola . He has good sense of humour and always makes you feel comfortable. Never a dull moment. Continue your good work sir!

I've had 3 different OBGYN's in the last 13 years (only due to moving and location convenience). During my last pregnancy, there was no heart beat and I needed to see an OB right away. Dr. Athaide was recommended and I saw him to help me through this difficult time. His empathy and time to explain all my options going forward were greatly appreciated, helpful and validating. I had concerns that maybe there was a mistake, due to different reasons, and he took that very seriously and again supported my concerns with appropriate options and testing (ie. lab work, another ultrasound, etc.) to provide my with peace of mind. After such a difficult year, I have now started seeing him again, 1.5 years later and he even remembered me and asked how I was doing since. Although it was anxiety provoking switching to a new OB, I felt comfortable in making the change, and so far, my experience and the service both with him and the receptionist have been wonderful. Would recommend him to family and friends for sure.

I can't say enough good things about him and his staff (especially Melissa, she is amazing!) I had an extremely unfortunate situation happen last summer that resulted in a stillbirth and Athaide was the best doctor I could've ever had by my side in that moment. He continuously reached out to myself and my husband to see how we were doing, and I'm looking forward to seeing him for my next pregnancy. I recommend him to anyone looking for a compassionate and skilled OB - Athaide is hands down the best in the region.
