“Parc-nature du Cap-Saint-Jacques covers 330 hectares, including a sugar shack, two heated chalets, and an ecological farm. This park is located 6.2 km away from Dollard-Des Ormeaux. Parc-nature du Cap-Saint-Jacques features 5 km of snowshoeing, 7 km of hiking, 14 km of cross-country skiing, and 6.5 km of fat bike trails. “Morgan Arboretum with a 245-hectare (610-acre) forested reserve on the McGill University Macdonald Campus in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue. The Morgan Arboretum contains 40 native species of trees, including the American Beech, Sugar Maple, Butternut, Bitternut Hickory, American Elm, and Black Cherry. The park is also home to over 170 species of migratory and overwintering birds, 15 reptiles and amphibians, and 30 species of mammals. This is one of the mixed-use woodlands, and the recreational area offers many opportunities for walking, skiing, and snowshoeing on well-maintained and marked trails. Morgan Arboretum is a great place for all age groups. The park also provides outdoor event spaces. Trails are colour-coded and frequently have signage to reassure you that you are on the right path. Users can take advantage of annual memberships.

PARC DU CENTENAIRE REVIEWS

Very nice park! Well-maintained with nice walking paths, volleyball court, place to let your dog loose and open grass fields for whatever activities you want. There are even warning signs for poison ivy in certain spots of the wooded areas. Great place for jogging around the lake. Beautiful water views and plenty of benches and picnic tables.

Park open for residents only during Covid. Cross country ski trail is fun with nice views and a groomed trail.Quite flat in general so good for beginners.Start from the main parking lot, though the woods, and then around the lake. Trail partly shared by walkers in parts.

I love the place for hiking specially in fall. You could walk or go through it on your bike (before covid). The landscape is mind blowing. Even in winter we go there to walk. There is a park where you can take your children.

PARC-NATURE DU CAP-SAINT-JACQUES REVIEWS

I quite like this Park, it is tucked away in Pierrefonds, and it was a bit of a journey to get there from East Montreal, but worth it. There is a small, quaint beach, and trails that are easy to follow and walk on around the beach and surrounding area. There was hardly anyone there, which makes it very attractive. The building with a cafe was closed, but very cool to see such a beautiful old structure close to the beach. It's a gem in the far reaches of Montreal west.

Our favourite place to walk around winter or summer. We went a few times during the weekend. little bit of snow falling and nice temperature makes it even better Visit Cap Saint-Jacques, it is worth visiting. Huge selection to do all kinds of activities with your family!

Beautiful area with pristine trails and beaches, a perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and wash your stress away to the sound of the susurration of the canopy and the songs of the local birds.

Love this walk! In the heart of the forest there are many trails to walk for every season. Trails are colour coded and have signage often to reasure you're on the right path. My favorite trail was the one less aparent as you make your way through nature you feel a great sense of peace and wonder.

Loved my hiking experience of 20 km with friends. Perfect when you don't want to go to far from Montreal. Nice view, many diverse trails and resting areas for an entire day! I will certainly go back soon. Great discovery.

We went there for a walk on a warm winter afternoon. The trail is very well maintained, and they offer trails for walking, snowshoe, and country skiing. Dogs are allowed. We even saw some kids doing toboggan next to the parking.
