Muskoseepi Park is ideal for hiking, running, cycling, and biking enthusiasts. The trail system includes 15 km of asphalt, 5 km of gravel, and 7 km of wilderness paths. The park offers many amenities, including a playground, dog park, arena, skate park, and sports facilities. Muskoseepi Park provides various play areas to entertain children.

2025 Update: The concept for Muskoseepi Park was developed in 1980, when the Government of Alberta announced funding for urban park development in Grande Prairie and other communities through the Heritage Trust Fund. The park features several picturesque ponds and hiking trails, as well as picnic facilities and even a bowling alley.”

“O'Brien Provincial Park is situated in the Wapiti River valley at an elevation of 520 m. This park is open year-round and is perfect for cross-country hiking. Most of the trails are paved and flat and have maps everywhere. The conservation area preserves local wildlife and the natural landscape. O'Brien Provincial Park is famous for local birders, walkers, cyclists and bikers. The natural landscape comprises wetlands, valleys, forests, and grasslands. O'Brien Provincial Park is an excellent spot to let your dog off the leash when out of the park. Fire pits, walking trails and pit toilets are available here. O'Brien Provincial Park is beautiful for pictures, family events, and a great hiking trail network. There are tons of space for kids to run and have a family function.

2025 Update: Shoreline trail follows along the Wapiti River and then heads back through the trees. Starting in the parking area, a hard surface trail loops just over 1 km. Then, extending off the hard surface trail, a natural surface loop of nearly 3 km continues along the river and back toward the start. O'Brien Provincial Park offers wheelchair accessibility.”

“2025 Update: Bickell's Pond has a 1.1-mile loop trail. It takes an average of 23 minutes to complete. This trail is great for running and walking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash. This is a natural, semi-natural or planted space set aside for human enjoyment and recreation or the protection of wildlife or natural habitats. Bickell's Pond offers wheelchair accessibility. Bickell's Pond is a kid-friendly trail.”

MUSKOSEEPI PARK REVIEWS

Nice park to visit with your family and friends. It extends throughout grande prairie. So it has long trails to walk. Also, each part of the park looks different from each other. Nice sceneries. A lot of photographers, spots. It has a small park for kids to play at the downtown side. There's an outdoor swimming pool which is open only during summer. St. Joseph Church in Grande Prairie is nearby. a small stream is flowing through the park. It's a must visit place in Grande Prairie. It will take at least half a day to enjoy the place. Better bring food or be prepared to cook. Clean surroundings. Fresh air. pleasant to eyes. thanks.

Beautiful stretch of nature with lots of winding Creek and ravine goodness. The shared bike and pedestrian paths are nicely maintained and there are constructed and natural look out points along the trails. The bridges are wide and well built and maintained. It's a perfect park to go for a run, walk, bike ride at any time of the day.

The greenery, the separate playgrounds for young kids and older kids, the water park, the walking trails, an absolutely magnificent place to spend time with your kids PLUS the Grande Prairie Heritage Museum is on the same grounds, a 3 minute walk away and no admission fee! Highly recommended for a fun day.

Very nice park with walking trails and lots of open lots with firepits. Located right next to the river with nice clean looking water. Very popular place to go with friends and family.

Beautiful park for pictures, family events and a great network of hiking trails.. some trails are damaged near the river and banks collapsed, paths have been created to by pass this but they are still being worked on.

Beautiful place to enjoy the sun, and water, very clean and well kept trails are a little brushy but not bad overall a good place to relax. Also every now and then we hide rocks for people to find good luck lol.

BICKELL'S POND REVIEWS

Nice place to go to, houses are nearby, a good place to walk dogs. It’s a nice pond. Bickell’s pond has a book place where you can grab books and put different books in there (I’m guessing.) I go to that pond everyday to walk and enjoy the view.

Best place to go super pet friendly and everybody is so nice when there's lots of people otherwise there's almost nobody there and it's so peaceful.

Such a relaxing and peaceful place really enjoyed the scenery.
