Grande Prairie Museum has about 55,000 items in its collection, which opened in August 1970 to focus on preserving the area's pioneer history. Grande Prairie Museum boasts a remarkable degree of accessibility, catering to visitors of all age groups. Grande Prairie Museum's galleries feature temporary and permanent exhibits, including features from the prehistoric era, the first homesteads of the Peace Region, and modern times. Visit the Grande Prairie Museum & Heritage Village to explore its history. The Museum has an adjoining Heritage Village that is also fun to walk around and see with friends or family. Admission to the Museum is free.

2025 Update: Grande Prairie Museum's collection includes a mix of historical, archeological, and paleontological objects. The Campbell-Rodacker gallery, named after esteemed Grande Prairie historian Isabelle Campbell and prominent businessman Mel Rodacker, features new exhibits every year.

Bonnetts Energy Centre was formerly known as Revolution Place. The Centre was built in 1995 and proudly welcomes local user groups, event customers, sports tenants, and show promoters. Bonnetts Energy Centre is a multi-functional arena in Grande Prairie with 2,960 seats. The arena attached to the arena is the Bowes, a convention and concert hall seating up to 1,400 with 18,000 square feet of space. Both Bonnetts Energy Centre and the Bowes offer 35,000 total square feet of exhibit space. Bonnetts Energy Centre is home to the Alberta Junior Hockey League's Grande Prairie Storm. The Centre hosted the 2006 Ford World Women's Curling Championship, the 2004 Royal Bank Cup, and the 2016 Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

2025 Update: Bonnetts Energy Centre seats up to 4,500 for concerts.

Forbes Homestead is a historic site that offers a glimpse into the early settlement history of the area. The museum is beautifully restored to its original form, open to the public, and contains the original log structure built in 1911, which was used as the first hospital in Grande Prairie, plus the two-story add-on used by the Forbes family as their residence, which was built in 1912. The Forbes Homestead is the oldest building still standing in Grande Prairie. Rev. Forbes Homestead and Pioneer Hospital offer free admission to all visitors.

2025 Update: Forbes Homestead is operated by the City of Grande Prairie, Culture & Heritage.
