Guelph Lake Conservation Area is a broad recreational area with beaches and forested hiking trails on a man-made reservoir. This 1,608 hectares (3,971 acres) of nature preserve developed with the Guelph Lake dam building in 1974 and recreation land. Users can enjoy the beaches and wooded hiking trails. It has a recently built concert area with a luxurious living roof in the lake's center on an island. The monitored boat is allowed in the lake.

HANLON CREEK PARK

Hanlon Creek Park features a 6-kilometre loop. It has a network of trails designed by community volunteers that explore woods and other nature reserves. It is a fantastic place right in the area and has the boardwalk and the trail's different habitats. Hanlon Creek Park is also suitable for mountain biking, climbing, and hiking. There is also a baseball diamond and a small playground. It is an excellent spot for family time on a hot day in the summer. It provides nice paths, leaves, and colours falling, and it is a peaceful place in a city.

Preservation Park is an urban forest of 27 hectares formed entirely of forested area. The park is famous for its year-round walking spot. It is an amazingly deep, thick, and dense trail in the middle of the Guelph. You can get a lovely woodland walk in preservation park and a long route for someone looking for an excellent hike. It is one of the best places in Guelph for hiking, mountain biking and picnics. During the sunny afternoon, you can see some beautiful sunlight shining through the trees. Parking is available at the park across the road.
