“West End Community Centre is a fully accessible, multi-purpose community centre. The centre has a full range of facilities, including an aquatic facility, a twin-pad arena, a gymnasium, community meeting rooms, a cafe, and a library to complement the facility and provide additional services to users and customers. The centre has three individual pools, changing rooms, and a sauna. All three pools have an accessible chair lift. They have a 25-metre lap pool with four lanes. The temperature is regulated at approximately 82-84 degrees Fahrenheit (28-29°C).

2025 Update: The West End Community Centre features double ice pads, bookable meeting rooms, a leisure pool, a lap pool, a therapy pool, a sauna and a gym. They are open 7 days a week.”

WEST END COMMUNITY CENTRE REVIEWS

Best place to keep yourself healthy and active. Swimming, volleyball, aquafit, gym, hot pool, hot sauna. Hockey Rink, ice skating ....4 community meeting halls for your conference - meeting or get-together. Excellent place. The entire staff of West End Community center was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place.

Enjoy watching my daughter play hockey here. They have seating inside the arena as well as an area where you can watch from warmth if you don't like the coldness of an arena. They have very clean public washrooms. Handicap parking and Handicap access within the facility.

Fantastic community centre! Our son loved his swimming lessons here. We also love going to the library branch where the staff are extremely friendly. There is also a general purpose gymnasium, a workout room, and several arenas for ice / floor hockey.

VICTORIA ROAD RECREATION CENTRE REVIEWS

My son did his swimming lessons here (infant) age group. The facility is safe there’s the receptionist who’s buzzing in and out, the front desk is very very helpful and kind. I also love how there’s 3 change rooms men, female & families. However. Busy hour. The change rooms in the family change room is a waiting game lol! Not enough space. The place is clean. The pool is heated/warm shallow end. We went on a regular Saturday omg packed! So go earlier and leave earlier. Great place to do activities! The swimming lessons were split in 3 in 1 pool different age groups. Kinda ridiculous for the pay you pay. There’s not enough room to get away from splashing water while our infant gets hits in face with water by older kids. Overall good.

Very good for lane swim!! Clean washrooms and change rooms. The city of Guelph offers sweet membership options that allow you to attend different pools in the area. This pool can be a 25 m lane swim or a 50 m lane swim depending on the set up. Friendly front desk staff. The website is a really good resource for times and cancellations.

My child absolutely loves the swim classes. Started off as a baby and doing great already as a preschooler. Staff are very polite, helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend this location for extracurricular learning.

Such an awesome facility. The staff are extremely accommodating and seem to enjoy what they do (makes a HUGE difference). My kids have benefited greatly from the small class sizes in their swimming programs. This is also an ideal place for those who can not afford regular gym memberships, from what I hear they offer financial assistance to help cover the cost of membership for those in low income families.

It was our first time to visit YMCA today and had an amazing experience,especially thanks to the very sweet and friendly lady , Malissa. She introduced lots of proper activities for my kids enthusiastically and patiently and arranged the perfect time for them.Excellent place for the family having fun especially in the cold winter time!

Great location, great gym for weightlifting, and really phenomenal staff. Very friendly & sociable. I've been to every gym in Guelph and never received the same friendliness as at the Y!
