Strathcona Island Park features 5 kilometres of walking trails along the river. This 1.6-mile loop trail is considered an easy route, taking an average of 33 minutes to complete. The park has cook huts located in both the north and south areas. Strathcona Island Park is ideal for birthday parties, family gatherings, or reunions. Many picnic tables, benches, barbecue pits, a boat launch, and a playground exist. Additionally, the park includes a baseball stadium. Kids will enjoy the splash park, play area, and water sports. In the fall, you can enjoy a long stroll through the park on the scenic trails, including paved and unpaved paths. Also, the park is wheelchair-accessible.

Echo Dale Regional Park is a haven for people and wildlife, welcoming more than 110,000 visitors annually. Police Point Park is a 97.7-hectare riverfront park that features trails and a nature centre hosting interpretive programs and displays. The park offers nature programming and activities to the public all year, including community programs and fun, free weekly activities. The park provides excellent educational and outdoor fun opportunities. Police Point Park has a well-maintained network of pathways for walking or biking. During the winter, guests can go snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. The park is famous for dog walking, cycling, and jogging. The perimeter path runs along the riverbank, offering chances to see local wildlife, such as squirrels and deer, along with fantastic river views.

2025 Update: In Police Point Park, the MH Interpretive Program offers nature programs for school groups, community groups, tourists, and local visitors, all year long.
