“Bronte Creek Provincial Park is a beautiful, quiet place in Oakville, ON. The park has a fantastic off-leash area right by the entrance, leading you to a beautiful river at the base of a stunning valley. The park has a 1.8-acre outdoor pool. The park is spacious and well-maintained, with ample parking, picnic areas, and restrooms. Visitors can enjoy hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing on the park's trails. Bronte Creek Provincial Park has two separate activity areas for day use and camping. The park rangers were very professional and polite. There are many green spaces and lots of space to wander, and the beautiful twenty-mile creek runs through the middle. The trail is primarily used for walking and trail running. Picnic tables, garbage facilities, and heated washrooms are available here. Bronte Creek Provincial Park also provides educational programs for families and school groups.

2025 Update: Bronte Creek Provincial Park has 5 great hiking trails that showcase the natural beauty of the park. It also features a Children’s Farm with live farm animals. The park conducts interpretive programs and hosts seasonal events such as the Maple Syrup Festival in March, Ghost Walks in August, Camper Halloween, and Victorian Christmas in December.”

“Lions Valley Park is a well-maintained park with a stunning lake view in Oakville, ON. The park is popular for hiking, fishing, and picnicking, with hilly trails, a creek, and lawns. Lions Valley Park has playgrounds for kids and accessible washrooms, and benches. You can see many species of birds, fish, and wildlife. Lions Valley Park has the best trails and a lot of green spaces. The staff is friendly and works hard to keep common areas clean. This beautiful conservation is the perfect place to picnic while learning about the region's geographical, hydrological, and botanical aspects.

2025 Update: The Parks and Open Space department, in partnership with Halton Region, recently completed the rehabilitation of Lions Valley Park. Visitors will enjoy the new pedestrian bridge over Sixteen Mile Creek, a newly constructed trail system from Fourth Line to the pedestrian bridge, landscaping and an asphalt-paved parking area.”

“Joshua's Valley Park is a scenic local park for hiking and walking. The park spans 2 kilometres through the center of southeast Oakville, Ontario. This park is also dog-friendly. This park features a 4-mile out-and-back trail. The park has some small creeks and some up-and-down trails. There are lots of little trails within the main trail to explore. This place is a wonderful location to walk or ride your bike. Joshua's Valley Park has many beautiful scenes and is a fantastic place to explore the natural beauty.

2025 Update: The park is very family-friendly and is frequented by many locals of the area participating in a variety of activities from trail running, to mountain biking to hiking.”

Bronte Creek Park is huge, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts for a fun family day out. The park has numerous great picnic spots, well-maintained camping sites, and a variety of trails suitable for hiking and cycling. Families can enjoy fishing, exploring the park's beautiful scenery, and visiting the farm where children can engage with animals. Kids will love the playground and the barn, while adults can relax and take in the natural beauty. With its wide range of activities, Bronte Creek offers something for everyone.

One of my best cycling parks. It is well maintained and organized with designated car parking zones and maintained eating areas. Full of lots of terrain for mountain biking and cycling.Also hiking terrains to river beds and fishing. Farm for the children with some two and four legged friends. Has lots of activities going on through the year. Great experience for individuals and family.

Its a beautiful park in oakville. Entrance parking fee is $18. We went to the F parking lot to see the salmon fish near the trail. There were sheeps, cows and beautiful old structural buildings housing them. My experience was the best here. The track, the trail everything was so good.

LIONS VALLEY PARK REVIEWS

If you're looking for a nice getaway from Oakvile, you don't have to go too far. This park is wonderful. The trail is about 2 hours of walking with a stroll along side the river. There are cool signs to read along the way and lovely views of nature. Tucked away and hidden in a little valley, you really get the sense that you're not in the city. Great place to walk your dog and enjoy time with your family. The trail isn't challenging but there are some stairs to climb along the way FYI.

Wow, this park is gorgeous. Easily accessible from many entrances, this trail follows the Sixteen Mile Creek. There are plenty of trails with elevation, as well as flat gravel paths. The large trees cover the valley, providing plenty of shade below. There are many viewpoints along the way too!

Did the sixteen mile creek loop, it was about 6 km. Also did a side trail, along a ridge descending to the valley and climbing back, alot elevation changes. The trail on the north of creek was more scenic . Beautiful fall colors. Pretty busy even on a weekday.

JOSHUA'S VALLEY PARK REVIEWS

Local, tucked away, stunning forest & sports park. Ample free parking and trails perfect for running, cycling and dog walking. Some mixed terrain and not appropriate for mobility aids but a runner’s & hiker’s haven. Have seen both cyclists & dirt bikes on trails. Serene with robust wildlife and songbirds. Bring refreshments & be prepared to enjoy some rugged beauty hidden along Lakeshore East. Happy trails.

This place is an amazing place to walk or ride your bike. Large group of individuals had taken the responsibility among themselves to build these trails. They wear helmets and are always a safe. Very very impressed but how some of the riders ride. Don’t see the need ever to destroy these trails as I do believe they are a work of art and the dedication and time they spent must be crazy.

Joshua park is a great local park to explore and hike. I often come here to mountain bike the homemade death machines of trails, the park processes lots of natural beauty, and has a fantastic stream for walking by, the park is also very dog friendly, but be careful as the park is near the Oakville sewage treatment plant, which provide a less than favourable smell.
