Oakville Black History. Looking for some historical adventure? Great for families visit or school trip. This is such a great place for Black community to have an indepth history of how slaves escaped from US to find freedom in Canada. It is such a historical place. My students were taken there on a school trip following up their learning about the Black History we all love it I am sure you'll love it too.
Absolute must see. 200 years of history compressed into one beautiful estate. Tour guide, Alex, was absolute fantastic! The post office is also a nice added bonus.
Fantastic park with great views. There is a walkway to lighthouse. Few benches thru out the park. Parking is on the street. Best times to visit are either evening or night. Go when it's full moon. No place to BBQ or swim.

Gairloch Gardens stands as an idyllic haven, perfect for unwinding amidst sunny days. Originally encompassing a vast 400-hectare farmland, it underwent transformation when in 1922, Colonel William Mackendrick, a civilian engineer from Toronto, acquired 11.4 acres of this land. Following Colonel Mackendrick's passing in 1957, the property transitioned to James A. Gairdner, an investor based in Oakville, who, in 1960, named it the Gairloch estate. Within the embrace of Gairloch Gardens, visitors are met with a tapestry of exquisite flowers, flowing streams, captivating water fountains, and the grace of a pedestrian bridge. Their enchanting facility seamlessly incorporates heating and air conditioning, two spacious ceiling fans, accessible gender-neutral restrooms, and a convenient cloakroom. Designed with inclusivity in mind, the building extends full accessibility to those reliant on mobility devices, and the Studio is entirely devoid of stairs. A delightful touch to the garden's allure is the presence of tropical flowers, a rarity to behold in Canada. Moreover, Gairloch Gardens serves as a canvas to experience the diversity of Canada's weather patterns, creating an ever-evolving ambiance. Whether you're strolling through virtually or in person, embark on a journey to this cherished park and relish a leisurely walk amid its splendor.

THE OAKVILLE CENTRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS REVIEWS
Simply Amazing !!...... We went to see Cabaret and we loved it. The Centre was super organized and clean. It was our first time there and it won't be our last. Thank you so much, for the beautiful experience.
The Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts is a superb venue for shows, talks, and performances. The building is old now but we’ll maintained. The centre is well run with easily accessible information on all the happenings. My children performed here many times over the years and it was always a smooth enjoyable experience with excellent seating, a large stage and a professional sound and light system. Thanks to all the hardworking staff that makes this place run flawlessly.
What a perfect venue! All seats are wonderful. Zero obstructed views. Nothing further than 20m / 55ft from the stage. Saw Bachman and Bachman.
