Francis/King Regional Park is formed of woodland and meadow that covers a 265-acre. The park features 6.2 miles of trails, 11 kilometres of gentle woodland trails, an accessible boardwalk, and a nature center. The Elsie King Trail is a cedar boardwalk that is also accessible for people with disabilities. Francis/King Regional Park's trail connects to Thetis Lake Regional Park. The park is also the perfect place for family outings with young children. It has interpretive panels, a water fountain, and toilet facilities.

Here’s The Deal:
Bear Hill covers 49 hectares of hilltop (220m) landscape nestled in Saanich, BC. It has a pleasant woodland atmosphere and is graded as moderate. It is mostly used for walking, hiking, and nature walks. The trails are mostly used from May to October. Dogs can even be used in this trial, but they must be kept on a leash. Bear Hill also has some of the oldest rocks on Vancouver Island and gentle woodland tracks. You can see the panoramic views of the Saanich Peninsula.

John Dean Provincial Park is a densely vegetated provincial park located in North Saanich. It covers 174 hectares of southern Vancouver Island in BC. The park features 6 kilometres of well-marked hiking trails. Users can enjoy the several lookout areas and get views of the Saanich Peninsula and the Saanich Inlet. The main trails are wide enough for two people to walk beside each other. On walking up on the hill, you will reach the two staircases, one head up and one head down. You can also see the various flora and fauna. John Dean Provincial Park is easy to find your way around, quiet and family-friendly.
