I have been a faithful client since they opened. Always felt welcome and the items I ordered never disappointed (whether eat in or take-out). Good size portions very tasty, great presentation, fresh sushi and sashimi, and the service is always great. Pleasure doing business with you Julian and staff!

This place is busy. Reasonably priced. Customer service was good but not excellent. Hard to call waiter’s attention. We had to get up and no one checks in on us. The food was fresh except for the stir fry veggies and black rice. The veggies was overdone and the rice was dry and obviously not freshly cooked. Otherwise the chicken and tofu teriyaki and the prawn tempura were perfectly cooked. It’s a good hang out place for family and friends.

This place has been in business for over a decade. Despite not changing much, the interior still feels up to date and comfortable. The staff are always friendly, and there are rooms available if you want more privacy. The spicy delight is a must-try! The fish was fresh and decently portioned. I'm very glad that Akari is still in business, and I hope they continue to be for a long time.

I’ve eaten here a lot but mostly through SkipTheDishes and the foods always great, but it was my first time dining in and the service was amazing. They were so accommodating with my toddler. They gave her toddler plate, special soup with ice to cool it down, special chopsticks, and a cute cup and a toy from the treasure chest. I highly recommend this place if you have kids.

This sushi place is one of the many gems of Ladner. The staff is very friendly, kind, and upbeat. The service is fast, the food is fantastic, the atmosphere cozy and the prices reasonable. The menu has lots of options, but we thought that the Dinner and Lunch sets were very well balanced and had a bit of everything that you could ask for. Presentation was nice, everything tasted delicious and felt fresh. Definitely a must visit.

Our first time there tonight on Canada day. The service and food were second to none. We were so happy with everything and especially our waitress. She was so nice. Thank so much for a lovely dinner :)

Best sushi in the lower-mainland for SURE, me and my family come here from maple ridge every once in a while on a weekend, highly recommend the veggie platter as that’s what we get everytime, very fresh ingredients very fresh taste, very well made sushi, the lady at the front is very kind as well, we ordered take out due to a birthday and they left us a note. Highly recommend five stars.

Excellent local Japanese dive! Good value and decent portions. My go to order is the deep fried chicken roll and beef yakisoba. My wife loves the special rolls, especially the Vancouver, River and Santa rolls. The salmon teriyaki rice bowl is a favourite and the gomae and miso soup is terrific too!

Awesome awesome food. Service was great. Only 10 seats for service but served promptly. 1st time but won't be my last.
