3 Best Mexican Restaurants in Edmonton, AB

I've been to this place a couple of times now, once when it was Huma, and again after the remodel to Luna, and both times it has been fantastic. There's usually a short wait to get in, but that's just because it is a very popular place. The service has been friendly and prompt, and we didn't have to wait long for our main dishes, which usually means the back of house is on-point too. If you are a fan of mole, this is the place to go. It's delicious. The enmoladas are easily one of my favorites. The photos don't do the dish justice of just how good it it. The atmosphere is fun and open and fits well with the type of restaurant it is. I truly look forward to visiting again.

What a great authentic Mexican restaurant in the heart of the city. Amazing Margheritas and fantastic food. They are definitely worth a shot. We stopped on our way to the Pioneer Cabin for the Candlelight Abba string quartet.

Great little place with excellent service. We got the nachos Wich were amazing. Tacos usual traditional small size but 2 seemed to be very filling. One of the best fish Tacos I have tried. We didn't try dessert.

This place remains a hidden gem although since you can’t get in without reservations, I guess everyone appreciates the value. Haven’t visited in three years and I think it got better. The twelve taco shareable plate is huge and depending on what protein you choose, loaded with goodness. The fish was large with excellent batter; the shrimp are large and flavorful and the chorizo was flavorfully salty and delicious. Big enough for four which surprised me. Could use more salsa and they did cheap out and stop serving tortilla chips but that’s par for the course in today’s sad economically challenged environment. The corn is also delish but not really enough for four to share. Well worth a visit. The blended margarita is also worth the $15 price which is rare these days.

We arrived on a Thurday night without reservations, and the staff were very polite and sat us as soon as they could. I have to say that the food was very, very good - we enjoyed every bite! We will definitely be back!! The service was good, albeit quite slow. Very friendly and helpful.

We had the Tostadas de Tinga and the Enchiladas Clasicas with spicy verde. The tostadas were the best we ever had! Amazing flavour combinations, fresh ingredients and great portion size. The spicy verde sauce on the enchiladas is quite spicy and so is the Mexican rice but still delicious. The restaurant was able to accommodate a celiac and both dishes were gluten free.
