(I am writing this review on behalf of my mom Renee) I used the services of GIG moving in January of this year. Alex and his associates coordinated a very complex and multi-location move which consisted of some fragile and antique furniture with great care and efficiency. All of the pieces were wrapped carefully and handled with care. They were always careful to lay down mats to ensure that there was no damage to hardwood floors or carpets, and they assembled beds and other furniture pieces in rooms when directed. They were on time and completed the moves ahead of schedule and at a very fair price. The whole experience from initial contact and throughout the entire process was positive was beginning to end. Throughout the moving process Alex was professional, considerate, and caring as he understood that the move was due to the loss of a loved one. I would definitely recommend Alex and GIG Moving to anyone in need of an excellent moving company. Thank you again Alex!

Alex and his team are fantastic! I’ve used them twice and both times they were responsive, flexible, professional,, and organized. Moves can be stressful, but knowing you can rely on Alex and crew to be calm and honest was a huge comfort. They handled my belongings with care and everything was intact. Jackie saved my day! Excellence is my bottom line review. I was searching for a company that could move a valuable fine art object for me. It was a difficult task because the object is super heavy (about 150-175 lbs), fragile - a centuries old Asian Fresco fragment and in an awkward location to access (hanging ~7’- 12’ over a fireplace mantle) - see attached picture. I also had a limited time to move it. I’d been turned down by other movers in that specialized market place and other general household movers. I had been quoted silly money by a couple of moving companies. Then I called ‘Like Father, Like Son Movers’ and spoke with Jackie. I can’t tell you how grateful I am that I did! Short story: he was fast, efficient and a good communicator with a professional and personable demeanour. He quoted me a fair and reasonable fee and he got the job done beautifully and quickly. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this company!

Jackie and his crew of two men were my movers a few weeks ago from Newmarket to the Kawarthas. They were incredibly professional, showing up on time, wrapping all the furniture and fragile items. Very hardworking men. But they were also pleasant to talk to. Especially the owner Jackie who is very professional, yet personable, kind and understanding. They made everything fit like a puzzle in the moving truck. I had so much stuff I needed two trucks, but nothing got damaged. I would highly recommend Like Father Like Son Movers.
