“Dr. David Fortin graduated from Sherbrooke University. He then completed his specialized training in neuro-oncology in London, Ontario, and Portland, Oregon. He is clinically interested in therapeutic manipulations of the blood-brain barrier and has developed expertise in performing this type of procedure. Dr. David Fortin is a dedicated neuro-oncologist who offers patients standard and experimental treatments. He holds a researcher-clinician grant from the FRSQ and has also performed the first blood-brain barrier manipulation procedure to treat brain tumours in Canada. Dr. David Fortin has published a series of articles in neuro-oncology literature and has expertise in treating specific pathologies. He has to his credit more than 130 publications and 160 scientific abstracts. He participated in numerous conferences on the national and international scene. Dr. David Fortin speaks English and French.

2025 Update: Dr. David Fortin was also one of three finalists for the Excellence Award from the Quebec College of Physicians in 2022. He is a full professor in surgery, radiobiology, and pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Sherbrooke.”
