Musée canadien de l'histoire attracts more than 1.2 million visitors annually to its iconic building in the centre of the National Capital Region. The museum researches and informs the public about Canada's human history. The museum has about 25,000 square meters of exhibition space spread over four floors. It annually presents several excellent exhibits focusing on Canadian culture and civilizations. Musée canadien de l'histoire houses over four million objects, including artifacts, specimens, works of art, published records, and audio-visual recordings. The museum's staff includes leading Canadian history, archaeology, ethnology, and folk culture experts. Musée canadien de l'histoire offers free admission for Children 17 and under.

2025 Update: Musée canadien de l'histoire is based in a 75,000 square-metre building (810,000 sq ft) designed by Douglas Cardinal. In addition to exhibition space, the building also contains three restaurants, a boutique store, and two live performance theatres, including a 500-seat theatre for live performances. The building also has a 295-seat 3D theatre that uses a Barco digital projector.

Théâtre De l'Île was originally designed as the Hull Water Works building in 1886, when the site was at the center of a predominantly industrial area. The City of Hull and the National Capital Commission teamed to reconstruct and develop the building as a theatre. Théâtre De l'Île opened in 1976 and became the first municipal theatre in Quebec. Théâtre De l'Île offers a fantastic experience for visitors. Théâtre De l'Île seats up to 119 people and provides a variety of shows each year, attracting around 25,000 spectators annually.

2025 Update: The city of Hull and the National Capital Commission joined together to rebuild the structure as a theatre. Théâtre De l'Île is located on a small island at the southern end of the Ruisseau de la Brasserie, a small river running just to the west of Montcalm Street in the former city of Hull.
