“Algonquin Theatre is a mid-size performance venue featuring plays, concerts, comedy, and drama classes. MUSKOKA HERITAGE PLACE REVIEWS

Enjoyed a wonderful day with our 4 & 7 year old grandkids! They enjoyed doing old school laundry, making a candle, making butter, a doll of cat tail reeds, dressing up in period customs, bending iron in the blacksmith building and a school lesson using a chalk pad (the precursor to the iPad!) The docents were amazing. Lynne is an absolute gem! An enjoyable way to spend time immersed in a historical experience! Take your time and enjoy a beautiful day that will create great memories.

It’s very nice place to walk around. Staff are friendly & willing to impart the knowledge about Muskoka’s history especially Mr. Dough who is a volunteer, shared about train’s history in the past, he’s super friendly to talk with all guests on the train station. High recommend this place for all age.

Absolutely fantastic historical place, as a Canadian MUST visit. Showcases daily life of settlers in mid/late 1800’s. Staff on site were very welcoming, the lady who gave us a candle making lesson was very sweet and kind. Will come back for train ride.

SUGARBUSH HILL MAPLE FARM REVIEWS

Me and my buddy were riding through the twisties in the summer heat, and the only thing on our minds were ice cream. When we saw the signs posted outside this maple farm we couldn't resist. We were welcomed by the world's friendliest dog then by the nicest people serving the best ice cream I've ever had. The ice cream costs $6 for a cup/can. It sounds pricey but both quantitatively and qualitatively they are totally worth it. The can is about the size of one those Greek yogurt cans. And the ice cream itself is more cream than ice. The two cans were sitting in the sun for some 5 minutes (as I sort out the payment. Cash is preferred and I didn't have cash, so I had to E-Transfer the money) and they didn't even melt. They were so ridiculously thick and creamy I broke the plastic spoon trying to scoop it out. The maple syrup taste actually comes from maple syrup rather than "Artificial flavors" like many other "maple syrup flavored" ice cream. Knowing this place exists, I don't mind riding 200 kilometers from Toronto to get a taste of this homemade ice cream.

Sugarbush Hill Maple Farm was a nice little farm. Plenty of parking and a shop to buy some of their products. It's also nice to see the history of maple farming on display too. There was a hiking trail, but we didn't have time to go. The maple ice cream was very good.

Owner is very friendly and welcoming. Maple ice cream is tasty. We didn’t get to walk the trail because the mosquitoes were crazy. Would like to come back next time when there are no bugs.

ALGONQUIN THEATRE REVIEWS

Ice been here numerous times but recently got to be on stage for our YWCA Muskoka She Talks with Anna Maria Tremonti. The staff were incredibly amazing at making everyone feel comfortable. Such an incredible place to visit. I've seen some great performances and the quality is always tops. Thanks for a most memorable bunch of evenings.

What a delightful venue! Great Acoustics and sight lines . The staff are super helpful and Huntsville is a great place to shop n eat.

Great assortment of concerts!Sound, lighting is fantastic! Lots of seating rooms, not squeezed in like sardines.
