Horseless Carriage is an initial-transportation and ancient industrial artifacts non-profit museum. It is owned and run privately by the Bennett family, which was opened to preserve Canadian heritage. The collection has expanded to its present size over the years. Bennett's family has willing to share their passions and gathering with the public. It is an atmosphere that will excite and entertain you with some of Canada's oldest working vehicles to memorabilia gas stations, curiosities and a general store dating back to 1890. Horseless Carriage has a set of antique scales that will encourage you to taste the richness of old-style candy and maple syrup, honey and homemade preserve. Tour and Group Rates are available, and admission is by donation.

Here’s The Deal:
Olde Gaol Museum is a historical place built-in 1863. The doors of the old Gaol reopened in 2011 as a museum devoted to interpreting cultural history. It shows the prison full of exciting tales and rare historical artifacts. The Victoria County Historical Society dates back to 1957 when people gathered, conserving, and sharing Lindsay's history and its neighbouring townships. It has a regional collection of artifacts and interpretive displays housed in a former penal institution. The VCHS presents and shares local experiences through its outreach programmes and how they interact with Canada's past. You can also enjoy the 3D virtual tour inside the museum. Olde Gaol Museum is located in Lindsay, Ontario.

MARYBORO LODGE: THE FENELON MUSEUM

Here’s The Deal:
Maryboro Lodge is the James Wallis historic house, built-in 1837. It is a volunteer-maintained community museum. Its artifacts, artworks and immersive projects demonstrate how people in the Kawarthas lived, worked and played. There were two large parlours, a dining room and five bedrooms in the two-story square-timber house. Maryboro Lodge prominently displayed the Wallis crest on every one of the three gables. It was the first home of such quality in the region. It offers free admission to children. You can also enjoy the Maryboro Lodge virtual Museum. It offers special events and maintaining a local history archive for all ages.
