Kawartha Lakes Museum & Archives, established within a historical building constructed in 1863, has a rich history dating back to 1957. During this year, a dedicated group of citizens initiated the collection, preservation, and dissemination of Lindsay's heritage and the neighbouring townships, operating under the umbrella of the Victoria County Historical Society (VCHS). As a charitable non-profit organization, the Kawartha Lakes Museum & Archives is firmly committed to fostering greater community awareness and appreciation of the local heritage. Its mission revolves around inspiring and actively engaging the public through cultural exhibitions, events, and collaborative partnerships within the community.
