“Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre is a well-maintained heritage center in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. The Heritage Centre was founded in 1987 by a small team of volunteers who wanted to preserve Ontario's rich history of bush and firefighting. CBHC's lifeblood is its volunteers. Many committed individuals actively work to restore, conserve, interpret, encourage, and present the bush plane and forest fire fighting heritage. The Heritage Centre showcases two categories of displays: aviation and forest fire. Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre preserves and tells the story of Canada's history in bush plane aviation and forest fire safety and how these factors influenced life in Canada's northern and remote regions. Recent renovations have made visits to the centre more pleasant, including a new entrance, theatre, gift shop, and support services. The Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre offers free admission for children aged four and under.”
