Nice cozy little seafood restaurant. The lobster grilled cheese was a handful and very satisfying. The fish & chips was also great, with a light and crispy batter. The clam chowder and oysters were pretty good too.

First time to The Mermaid on Saturday night, really enjoyed it! I had the lobster bisque and Catch of the Day, the trout, so good. Another table ordered the lobster rolls, and they looked so good too, definitely will be ordering those the next time. Not only was the food good, service was amazing, so fast and courteous. Thank you.

Just amazing. Our first visit here and we came for today's special offer of all you can eat muscles. Good quality muscles, good quality oysters, all from PEI. Small area to eat, probably only seating for 12 and a bar eare for 5 so book in advance. Lots of takeout going while we were there. Lovely staff.

Some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had, really friendly people, as well as excellent service. Got the fish and chips special with an ice cream chocolate brownie, both were amazing! They serve regular Beverages as well as alcoholic beverages if interested. Absolutely no complaints. Will be coming back.

Amazing fish and chips and we were treated in a very sweet n friendly manner all the time The ambiance is soft, homely and cordial. Loved their onion rings and coffee as well. Our son loved the brownie too. Definitely going to be a hangout place for us.

Exactly what a classic fish and chips place should be! Truly delicious, fast, and a generous portion - done right. Great, happy server as well. It’s nostalgic for my dad as he first came here in the 60’s from the UK. Highly recommend the Halibut & Chips!! The onion rings looked amazing and again generous portion! Trying those next time.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday here and we all loved it. We had three different starters and three pasta mains. The lobster linguine and the seafood spaghetti special were amazing. Wonderful service and the restaurant was comfortable with great ambiance. We were asked if we wanted the music volume lowered. Very thoughtful.

Absolutely incredible restaurant! My boyfriend and I found this while driving down the street and it was SUCH A GOOD find! The food was incredible! Takes you back to Italy and the service was amazing! Felt at home and the interior was so nice! The waitress was also kind enough to pack my leftovers for me (not something I experience regularly). Highly recommend you to go because we were pleasantly surprised!

I’ve been twice and it did not disappoint either time. Consistent and great service provided on both of my visits by Rachel. She provided amazing service and was friendly and attentive. My compliments to the chef! Food was amazing! Extremely flavourful and delicious. They had all of our favourite dishes too. If you like Italian seafood this restaurant is a must try. You won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to go back.
