3 Best Seafood Restaurants in Saint John, NB

A group of us were down in the Saint John area for the weekend & we ate at Steamers Lobster Company twice for dinner. Fabulous place with great food, supreme service & a sea shanty decor! We ate one dinner at another highly rated seafood restaurant in the same area and it was much inferior to Steamers. Highly recommended if you’re gonna be in town & are craving seafood.

Excellent choice we made! Flavorful and fresh seafood with great prices. Great tasting dishes served with the best service. Our server was not only great with her menu but also gave us tips for the things to see in the city and around.

Ordered their shore dinner for two, including two cups either clams or seafood chowders, a bucket mussels, and two lobsters. The chowders were about average. The mussels were fresh. The lobsters were very good, full roe and meaty. They sweet and delicious. The service was nice. The place was decorated interesting, we were sitting at the captain's corner.

Definitely worth a 5-star review and a detour next time to the city just for this this place. I ordered Cajun honey salmon and it was excellently prepared. Usually I don't like carrot but finished them all then. They cooked both the veggies and the rice in light stock (maybe) and got rid of any unpleasant yet natural flavor of the ingredients. I might have to point out the salmon steak is slightly overdone but it might be because of the frozen salmon steak they used. All I want to suggest is they can offer an upgrade to the salmon. Afterall this is Maritimes! My friend ordered a fish tacos. I can see the batter is house-made (unlike many others use factory made) and very fresh. My friend said it was good too. Hope I can come back again.

The restaurant view is beautiful, we were able to stay in patio right on the Lily Lake with our puppy Coco. We had clam chowder for appetizer, fish &chip, baked seafood. They are all excellent. Most of all I want to mention about the service, Carlo is beyond excellent, he is so friendly, so cheerful, he made us feel like we will want to come back here many more in future just to see his smiling, dog Coco likes him too, more than 5 star for Carlo.

Lily’s was great! Food was delicious and quite fresh! Loved the scallops and they were super flavourful and definitely fresh. Bacon wrapped scallops were the best yet pricing of all scallops was a bit pricey. Atmosphere was amazing, had a lovely and friendly server yet all staff at Lily’s was insanely nice and overall happy to be there. Also had a cute “Buy a Brick Campaign” to liven the place up and make a memory at their lovely restaurant.
