3 Best Bakeries in Kingston, ON

Made an online order for a brunch box to have a nice picnic with my hubby. It was so wonderful. The salad was completely fresh and crisp with a nice light dressing. Potato salad was excellent. Buttermilk scones were baked to perfection. Two quiches were delightfully light and tasty. Came with cheesecake with berries that was melt in your mouth sweetness and we got some chocolate covered strawberries added to the order. So much yumminess. All the portions were perfect as well, nothing was too much so there was no waste. It was all packed well and easy to carry. You can never go wrong with this bakery. I was disappointed to find out the brunch box was just a Mother's Day option. But nothing to stop people from ordering at Bread and Butter Bakery, put their own brunch boxes together to have wonderful food for a sweet picnic wherever their adventures take them! Thanks to all the staff for making this amazing food and this day special!

Excellent breads and baked goods, including chicken pot pie, laminate, pastry, cookies and scones. I got croissants, three different kinds of bread, a scone, and a chicken pot pie (quick and easy dinner!).There were no disappointments. It was all great. Service was very good. This isn't a place to snack on a pastry and a cup of coffee, though. They are built for efficiency. You enter one door, proceed through a circuit, which provides a view of all the goodies, and land at a register situated right next to the exit. There is no sitting or stopping. A friendly merchant will provide you with everything you want, but if you want to sit and eat, you go next door to Toast and Jam.

My 8 year-old loves anything peanut butter or chocolate and enjoys our visits here for occasional bakery treats. Today he chose a chocolate croissant and ate it in the car on the way home. There were many exclamations of ‘oh my God this is amazing’ but when he said ‘this is just as good as peanut butter cups’ I knew a high-praise review was indicated. Serious kudos to the baker who impressed my child who previously believed that nothing in the world could possibly be as good as a peanut butter cup. That is the highest of praise for your baking!!!

I've always heard about COBS bread and have been eager to try it out. My family and I went yesterday and we treated ourselves to there delishes scones(Lemon blue berry, White chocolate berry, cinnamon and Apple), strawberry Cheesecake Danish & pull apart cheese bread. I highly recommend exploring all their yummy options. We definitely enjoyed every bite! Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable with their ingredients and flavors. The service was quick, atmosphere was inviting and very inexpensive.

The absolute best place to get fresh bread, pastries and of course the cinnamon buns or chocolate croissants . The staff are always friendly & helpful. They always have a great selection to choose from. Great hours for people who work late too! They also offer FodMap bread (custom order) as well as peanut/nut free options which is great because my son has food allergies! Finding a bakery that caters to allergies or dietary restrictions is rare! I would definitely recommend this bakery to everyone.

Great experience and atmosphere in a very Busy bakery. Staff are fabulous. The best bakery in Kingston. Wish the store was closer to the downtown or had a storefront in the east end.
