I was struggling financially and had racked up over $30,000 in debt. This was debilitating and paralyzing to say the least. I saw an ad on YouTube about a consumer proposal and it peaked my interest because I was considering bankruptcy however after further research I found out that a consumer proposal was a better option than bankruptcy . I immediately google consumer proposal and several companies pop up. Because I recognized BDO’s logo I knew that they were a reputable company so I booked an appointment and a day later a debt specialist called me. This was the beginning of my debt relief journey. The process was very simple and straightforward. I was asked to gather all of my debts except my car loan as they only help you with unsecured debt. I provided all of the requested information and in one week the creditors were no longer calling me! My proposal was signed and I was back to some sense of normalcy. The downside to a proposal is that your credit score will take a big hit but I would rather my score take a hit than me. I can live without a credit score at this stage of my life as going forward everything I purchase will be cash. I can save for the future and can now take better control of my finances and I am free from being riddled, saddled and burdened with debt thanks to BDO and by extension the beautiful and intelligent Manon.
