BLACK WALNUT BAKERY CAFÉ REVIEWS

Despite living in London for the past few years, I only recently tried out this place! This beautiful cafe is very conveniently located and is always busy. During peak times, it may be difficult to find a seat but they do open up fairly quickly. The service here is amazing, they’re super attentive and nice which is a big plus. In terms of their food, their cruffins are TO DIE FOR - I absolutely love them to death. They rotate their flavours and every single one I’ve had has been phenomenal. Admittedly, difficult to eat which the sugar coating on the croissant mixed with the custard inside but still so so good that it’s worth the mess. I do wish it was served warmed which would take it to the next level! The sandwiches are surprisingly good as well. My favourite is the ham and Swiss. It is very filling and I love how much they pack into the sandwich (especially how much Dijon they put in it hehe). In terms of the coffee, it was decent. I was expecting more bold flavours to come out and taste the richness but unfortunately I could not. Maybe I had too high of expectations for the coffee after tasting the pastries and food but regardless, it was still decent coffee. Overall though, this place is an amazing place to sit down, eat, read, study, and catch up with friends! I definitely will be coming back and trying more of their items :)

3 friends and I up visiting another friend in London stopped in at the Black Walnut Café. Being here before we knew what to expect. Excellent Service (the employees behind the counter are quick and courteous to make sure you are served.), great coffee and the food is fresh and very very delicious. I always recommend to my friends and family.

Very nice coffee shop in my mother’s neighbourhood in London. Coffee on the patio Saturday morning with one of my kids during a visit to my mother. Such a friendly positive vibe.

LOCOMOTIVE ESPRESSO NORTH REVIEWS

Always a good place to grab a coffee. The staff are nice and great to interact with, the atmosphere is great, always see people meeting and enjoying it, and the patio outside is gorgeous in the summer. They get really good baked goods, always have delicious cake loaves, and have some nice lunch options, though definitely on the pricier side. Definitely check it out! Parking: Only like 3 parking spots, it's definitely more walk in though I do regularly see people drive. Wheelchair accessibility: The front door has stairs going to to it.

Delicious, rich, and balanced coffee! Friendly service. Local. Lovely ambiance (although quite busy). Amazing snacks and bakery items. I am so glad I found this place :)

Nice place for coffee. Smoked salmon sandwich was good, but a little expensive. Cool indoor decor.

This is exactly what brunch at The Bag Lady feels like, decadent, playful, and just the right amount of over-the-top. A towering French toast stack layered with peanut butter and banana, topped with a generous splash of berries and syrup, served on a scalloped plate that screams “vintage charm.” The whole place is a cozy explosion of retro kitsch, yellow chairs, floral mugs, quirky decor, and somehow, it all works perfectly. It’s like having brunch in your cool aunt’s kitchen, if she collected mismatched treasures and believed in dessert for breakfast. Go hungry, go curious, and don’t forget to take a picture before you dig in.

This was my first visit and the location was super eclectic. There was a lot of fun stuff to look at. The staff were moving around tending to all of the guests. There was a very positive vibe. I had the breakfast Panini with bacon. Great portion and lots of flavor The coffee tasted great, I'll stop here when passing by and needing a hot cup of coffee.

One of the best breakfast spots I’ve been to in years! Excellent location, delicious food, superb service and amazing atmosphere. I would go back again and again.
