COFFEE MATTERS REVIEWS
Very nice breakfast! Absolutely wonderful and beautiful wrap. It had egg, spicy mayo, spinach, red peppers and was wrapped in white wrap bread. So wonderful and tasted great. Also nice atmosphere inside the restaurant. Highly recommended!
Being Australian we know our coffee and like it strong. This place could be in Sydney or Melbourne and is hands down the best coffee we've had since leaving home. If you want cheap brown dishwater go to to mainstream places, if you want the real deal, come here.
First time here. I chose the Lavender Chai Latte and wow I loved the taste. The breakfast wrap and apple Danish are so delicious! Highly recommend if you are in the city.

THE BATTERY CAFE REVIEWS
We initially stopped by on a Sunday, following a hike of Signal Hill. Unfortunately, we were 10 minutes too late. A very kind gentleman was cleaning up outside and informed us it was closed but told us to come back the next morning and he would give us a treat. He also offered us water. We were leaving the area to explore the Burin Peninsula, the next morning so didn’t have the opportunity to drop back, but the following Sunday, we found ourselves in St. John’s again and made sure to go for lunch. So glad we did! I had the Chimmy Chicken sandwich with Carrot Ginger soup, and an iced latte. It was one of my favourite lunches on our trip to Newfoundland. We loved the atmosphere, friendly staff, and our meal. Very casual place with an outside walk up window and some outside seating and small dining area. The inside dining area you place your order at the counter and they deliver to your table. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area. Parking looks to be a little tricky but we were staying within walking distance so didn’t have to worry about it. It would absolutely be a great way to end a hike of Signal Hill, just pay attention to their hours prior.
After a hike on Signal Hill, we stopped here for a quick bite to eat on way to the airport. Was recommended by a friend who knows I love good coffee. The Battery Café did not disappoint. Big mugs filled with their house brand or as I call it liquid gold. Smooth rich coffee. I had a bagel with butter and he had the breakfast sandwich – both very good. There was also a large dessert selection and chocolates and sweet treats to choose from. We can’t forget the variety of coffees available for sale either. All very reasonably priced. There’s also a patio outside with a walk up window. A quaint corner café and a bustling place with constant customers coming in for their fix. Like everywhere we went in NL, friendly and welcoming service.
We were not disappointed in coming to this little cafe. We had the breakfast bagel and soup, with coffee and the rhubarb lemonade. We saw the reviews that the bagels were small, and yes they are but they are mighty. We were wowed by the flavour we came back the next day. Thank you for for making our experience one to remember.

JUMPING BEAN COFFEE REVIEWS
Love jumping bean! Lattes are great. Love the sundried pesto cibatta sandwich and the roasted red pepper soup! Great casual ambiance.
Had a great Americano. Managed to find an indoor table on a not so good day. Coffee is dependably excellent. As you would expect in a pandemic, very limited, appropriately distanced indoor seating. Some outdoor seating on a good day!
A super nice staff! The coffee is tasty and their baked good are to die for. As well, they abide by all the Covid- 19 restrictions, so we always feel both welcome and safe here.
