We highly recommend Jenn and her team to potential wedding couples. We have had Cakes by Design cakes at weddings that we have been apart of and Jenn never disappoints. Creative designs and costumed just the way you would envision. And the taste of these cakes - nothing compares!!! We have also purchased delicious cupcakes, cakes and cookies for our own personal events and our expectations are always exceeded. A long time Barrie business that we are honoured to recommend!!!

Ordered a cake for my husbands 30th birthday and I will never order a cake anywhere else again! It was AMAZING!! the staff were super friendly and attentive and you can truly see their passion in their cakes. They went above and beyond and added the perfect details to the cake and we were all amazed at how beautiful it turned out. Thank you so much to the staff there and please if you’re hesitating, don’t. This place is amazing and you won’t regret ordering a cake from here. We will definitely be back soon

My husband and I worked with Jen at Cakes by Design for our wedding cake. Jen and the team at Cakes by Design were very helpful in terms of laying out options, making suggestions, and helping us land on our choice of wedding cake. We appreciated the complimentary cake tasters Jen provided to help us make our choice. Jen made the logistics for the day of the wedding very smooth, which we appreciated. Our cake was beautiful, delicious, and we as well as our guests loved it!

I’m quite surprised by some of the negative reviews but I guess everybody has different experiences. From order to pick up it was a great experience. Firstly, I was accommodated within a week of needing my order which most places would turn you away. Kerri and her team made my wife the most beautiful and memorable cake of our sweet Golden that passed a few months ago. The cake was beautiful and delicious and I would highly recommend Sugar city for your next occasion.

Omg I love this place. I have had a bunch of birthday cakes made over the years. As you can see from my photos, they have done a lot of cakes for me over the years. They have consistently been prompt and polite, and have always managed to get my vision. I wish I could find pictures of every cake I've had made as I have been going there since pretty much when they opened. Thank you for helping me make some amazing memories. My children are in their 20s now and we still love our sugar city.

Ordered a cake for a grand opening celebration. The cake was not only stunning it was delicious!! The cake decorator did exactly what I asked for and even included the store logo which I never even asked for, it was absolutely beautiful! Everyone loved it and it was an amazing centerpiece! And again I can't stress how good it tasted. A lot of celebration cakes I find are hit or miss whether the insides actually taste good, and this one was incredible. THANK YOU to all the staff that helped coordinate this order you are outstanding!!

Nanny B's Bakery is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, you're embraced by its warm and inviting atmosphere. The cozy ambiance makes it the perfect spot to unwind with a delicious pastry or sandwich. Speaking of which, their variety is simply amazing, catering to every taste bud. And let's not forget about the coffee – it's not just a beverage, it's a delightful experience in itself. I can't help but feel grateful for stumbling upon such a lovely establishment. Nanny B's Bakery has certainly won my heart, and I'm sure it'll win yours too!

Came by to pick up some treats, and we were very happy with them. We ended up getting a couple of stuffed cookies, a lemon cannoli and a cherry danish and they were very very good. The place is small, but the quality of the goodies is great, and there is variety of different desserts to try. Definitely will come back to try the cakes, they looked so good!

I work around the corner from Nanny B's and I come here for lunch every chance I get! Service is always amazing and omggggggg the food is just delicious! Highly recommend checking out this bakery if you're in Barrie !!
