Private weekly lessons focus on daily general manners, proper leash walking and obedience commands. The lessons are realistic and take place outdoors, in various environments, amongst various distractions. The Board and Train Foundation program helps jump-start the training process, which also includes private lessons for the owner. Leash walking lessons train your dog to walk nicely beside you on a loose leash and focus on your commands and instructions, all the while ignoring surrounding environmental distractions. Emphasis is placed on preventing leash reactivity to various triggers. Group Obedience classes are held outdoors in group settings, allowing your dog to learn and comply amongst other dogs, within various distractions and environments. The Puppy Starter and Manners program is designed to focus on building the proper foundation to enjoy your puppy into adulthood.
2025 Update: Sho Papazian is the owner of My Obedient Dog. She is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and Behaviourist, and an active member of both the Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers (CAPPDT) and the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP). Sho has worked with over 1,000 dogs. My Obedient Dog is open seven days a week (by appointment), offering both on-site and in-home training.”
