“Dr. Smriti Nayan earned her medical degree and residency training at McMaster University, then specialized in rhinology and anterior skull base surgery at the Université de Montréal. She earned recognition for her research on "A Novel Treatment Adjunct for Aspirin Exacerbated Respiratory Disease (AERD)," demonstrating the efficacy of a low-salicylate diet in improving nasal polyps in AERD patients, and won the American Rhinologic Society's Best Clinical Project award. Her dedication to education is evident through her pursuit of a Master of Science in Health Science Education at McMaster University, where she excelled and received the School of Graduate Studies Scholarship.
