Exactly what a classic fish and chips place should be! Truly delicious, fast, and a generous portion - done right. Great, happy server as well. It’s nostalgic for my dad as he first came here in the 60’s from the UK. Highly recommend the Halibut & Chips!! The onion rings looked amazing and again generous portion! Trying those next time.

The food taste amazing! The servers are really nice to talk to and they are really nice! The backstory of this place makes it even better to dine to! 10/10 would go here as the number one place to have fish and chips.

Came in with my dad for take out. It was the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Service here is absolutely top notch. Friendly, kind and wonderful. I’m sad I’m not a local because otherwise I’d be eating here weekly. This is a gem.

HALIBUT HOUSE FISH & CHIPS OAKVILLE REVIEWS

Easily one of the best Haddock Fish & Chips in the GTA. The portion size is good, the crust is super crispy, and the fish itself is very fresh. It’s much better than the overrated Buster’s Sea Cove in Toronto. However, ordering cheesecake from here was a mistake; the slice was frozen and stale.

The best food i ever had great preparation and such a wonderful ambience! The Staff is really friendly,helping and polite. Totally understands a customers needs.Must visit if you prefer fish salads and sea food. Best place for foodie people. The prices are reasonable as well. Had a great experience thank you guys.

The halibut fish and chips I tried were a delightful surprise. The halibut was fresh, boasting a flaky texture and a clean taste that only high-quality fish can offer. Each bite was a perfect crunch, thanks to the golden, crispy batter that enveloped the fish. The chips were equally impressive: thick-cut, perfectly salted, and fried to a satisfying crispness. Paired with a homemade tartar sauce that added just the right tang, this dish was a memorable feast for the senses. It’s a classic done right, and a dish I’d recommend to any seafood aficionado.
