SCHOONER FISH & CHIPS REVIEWS

Came here with my husband for dinner last Friday night. We were greeted by friendly staff and offered complimentary water. We ordered the halibut and chips and also the haddock and chips. Both portions were quite large and I had leftovers for the next day. The batter is very nice and crispy and the fish fills the batter without any gaps or wet doughy spots when you cut into it. The ratio of batter and fish is perfect I find. The chips are thick and very tasty as well. Overall this is a wonderful family run restaurant with great service and food. Will definitely be back.

Such an amazing experience here. The food was delicious, probably some of the best options in Oshawa. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They had a separate menu, as well as separate condiments. It is exciting to find a restaurant with certified gluten free protocols. I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu! Thank you so much for the amazing lunch.

Lovely people and delicious food. As a celiac I am so excited to be able to indulge in delicious fish and chips. Separate fryer, great labeling, and proper preparation, I've never felt more confident in my food choices! Will be back.

Absolutely amazing fish and chips! My family and I decided to order take out for lunch and we called to place our order. The food was fresh and really good, the fish tasted really fresh and didn’t have any bad fishy taste that can occur from frozen/not fresh fish. We got four orders of the 2 piece haddock and chips plus their chicken nuggets and fries. They gave us lots of sauce for our order and everything was nicely packaged. Only thing to note is that they only take cash. Still fantastic food and service.

We visited Churchills again and I have to say the service was excellent as usual. We didn't have to wait long at all for the food and the servings were much more than we expected. We will definitely come back again. The restaurant was very clean and the ataff were so warm and welcoming. Honestly. I love fish and chips and so if you do too I highly recommend this place. You can see in my photo that the portions are AMAZING. Thank you!!!! We both had two pieces of fish and a truck load of fries. You'll be full when you leave and I'm a big guy.

I just ordered the halibut fish and chips deal for 2. Amazing service, fresh hot and crispy fish and chips. Nothing like it in a cold snowy night. The lady at reception was very sweet and generous. Five stars.
