From day one, he has treated me with respect and like a was more than just another client. He is professional and personable. He has gone above and beyond my expectations in dealing with my case. I have been impressed with his level of knowledge and expertise. He is also extremely thorough in his documentation and background work. I first met with Travis Bissett after my car accident; I was impressed with both his knowledge and professionalism; he more than exceeded my expectations. I have absolutely no hesitation in referring him to anyone. - PB
Thorough, careful, and clear. Even when someone overstepped communication with the company we were dealing with. He calmly brought everyone in and set things right. Fair and reasonable rates for the quality of service. Great legal council for what we required. - JL Répondre

We were desperate when a friend recommended Travis to be our lawyer. We had experienced a car accident: another driver turned left without signaling and struck our car on the driver’s side. My husband lost consciousness. I was so worried about him that I accompanied him to the emergency room without taking any photos of the scene. Somehow, the RCMP—whether due to incompetence or negligence—believed the other driver’s one-sided story and claimed the accident was our fault. They even included false statements in the collision report saying that we admitted fault. But we never said anything like that. My husband and I are both computer engineers who immigrated to Canada. Where we are from, if the police take sides, you’re doomed. Our English wasn’t sophisticated enough to handle such a complex situation and we didn't know where to turn. A friend told us we should find a lawyer. I contacted several lawyers I found online. As soon as they heard the police were involved, they told me that we had no chance. They said it would be too difficult and lead nowhere. We felt hopeless. Was justice in Canada also as unreachable? That’s when our friend recommended Travis. We didn’t expect much from the first meeting—it was just a free consultation. But when Travis heard our story, he drafted a complaint letter for us, without charging anything. My husband and I were really moved by his kindness and sense of justice. He didn’t say “this is too hard” or “it won’t work” like the other lawyers. He didn’t hesitate. He wrote a letter worth hundreds of dollars during that first meeting. I remember thinking he wasn’t like a typical lawyer—and I mean that as a compliment. Afterwards, I did some research on Travis. It turned out he’s a top lawyer in Alberta. His father was also a lawyer, known for his righteousness, and once described himself as a dog barking at injustice. Like father, like son—we decided to hire Travis. But he didn’t accept right away. Before agreeing to take our case, Travis personally visited the accident scene and conducted his own investigation. That level of care and responsibility is truly rare. After four years of hard battle, we were finally proven innocent. The other driver was found 100% liable. The lawsuit case is over. Thanks to Travis, he restored our dignity and faith in the strength of Canada's justice system. The independence of the judiciary, the principle of checks and balances, and the possibility to challenge unfair treatment—even when the police are involved—gave us hope. As immigrants, we were afraid at first. But now we believe that justice in Canada is not just a word—it can be real, if you have the right help and the courage to fight. Though without Travis, it would have been much harder for us to achieve justice. As a top lawyer, Travis is intelligent, knowledgeable, experienced and highly skilled. But what impressed us the most is his dedication, integrity and empathy. Travis showed extraordinary kindness and patience toward us as immigrants with limited English. He listened attentively to what we were trying to say, took the time to explain the parts we didn’t understand, and made sure we really grasped what was happening—and that we were accurately understood in return. That level of care is incredibly rare, especially from a lawyer whose time is so valuable. We never felt rushed or dismissed. Instead, we felt respected, supported, and heard. We are truly blessed to have had Travis as our lawyer. We recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone in need of legal support. - CC Répondre
