Rented the hall for my daughter's first birthday. Volunteers were very organized and helpful. Projector was a great way to keep kids busy playing a movie. Kitchen space was very handy. Clean, organized, safe environment within proximity of splash pad, playgrounds, and basketball courts. Outdoor skating rink in winter. Would highly recommend going here for hall rental. Will bring kids to functions here when they are old enough.

We love the North End Splash Pad! Great for a hot day, but bring an umbrella for shade or make sure you're sporting hats because there isn't a tonne of shade for relaxing in. There is a covered area with picnic tables that's awesome but can get crowded early. Lots to do, lots of sprayers over a good area and the dry park is right beside it.

Toddler loves it, nice to go when it's not busy. I feel badly for the people who live directly behind the splash pad, as all the water crashing is very loud, not to mention the screaming children. I can hear them at my house, and I live just shy of a kilometre away, I couldn't imagine having it practically in my back yard.

Current River Community Centre is a great place to hold your event. The main hall is close to 2000 square feet of open space that can be set up to your specifications. There is a stage ready for speakers, performers or host podium. Catering is available. The Community Centre has sports fields and playgrounds located onsite as well. Tennis, baseball, soccer, cricket or whatever activity you enjoy can be accommodated at the Current River Recreation Centre. Absolutely 2 thumbs up and 5 out of 5.

Thank you so much to the staff at Current River Community Center!!!!! My son and his beautiful bride were married this year. The entire day was amazing and enjoyed by everyone. The service provided was exceptional! It was very appreciated all the help and thoughtfulness your staff showed during the entire day. Thank you.

Had our wedding here. Food was great! Staff were quick and friendly. Conversing with Pat was easy, she is very kind! Clean up of dinner and buffet was quick. Well run and organized. Thanks for a great venue.

Clean and safe environment. Easy to inquire about the center, services/amenities offered, availability and booking(s). Convenient location, centrally located with ample parking including designated disability friendly spots. Fair pricing to accommodate most budgets including use of building amenities (kitchen, bathrooms, coat room/area...). Simply call or email to inquire, usually quick to respond! Center is always clean and in good condition.

Oliver Road Recreation Centre is a well maintained hall available for gatherings and events. Approximately 4000 to 5000 square feet of space with a kitchen/bar access. Outdoor skating rink in back of building and park area in summer. I believe this property is managed by the City of Thunder Bay.

This place is amazing, we always have our family events here, the staff care about our happiness and make sure that we are enjoying our time there.
