3 Best French Restaurants in Edmonton, AB

Normand’s has been on my bucket list forever and tonight we finally made it in and it was phenomenal. The food, the service and the atmosphere was outstanding and we will most definitely be going back. Our waiter Jeremy went above and beyond to take care of us and I thought I had fine dining experiences before but, Normand’s takes it above and beyond to make you feel at home. The food is like nothing you have ever experienced and we definitely had a hard time deciding what we wanted lol.. If you have never been to Normand’s and you are looking for a new restaurant to try than this is definitely the place to go.

Went here for my 30th birthday, the service was amazing and he recommended us the special, which was a T-bone bison steak. I received complimentary dessert as well and the price was reasonable for fine dining. I would definitely come back here for another special occasion!

Went with my family to celebrate our parents 60th birthday. Had an absolutely wonderful time! Server was very good, took a picture of us at the table and printed it out for us right there! Food and portion sizes were excellent. An incredible place and will be going back to try more of their menu!

We dined here last night and the experience was exceptional! The restaurant is so elegant and styled in a vintage art nouveau fashion, with marble tables and stained glass ceiling artwork. And as we are close to the holidays, we were pleasantly surprised by the Christmas decorations and tree lending to the atmosphere. Our servers were all very helpful, kind, and happy to give recommendations on wine with food. The food came quickly and was well timed between the appetizers and the main dishes. Our server was also very accommodating of our short timeline as we didn't plan our date night very well. The food was absolutely delicious! For starters we had the cheese plate and harvest salad, with the bread being perfectly baked and the squash in the salad was to die for. For mains we had the mushroom gnocchi and the pansies, and both were mouthwatering and well seasoned. The surprising part was that I felt like everything was reasonably priced for the quantity you received and we didn't leave hungry! Overall I am definitely coming back and would recommend everyone check this place out if you love cozy vibes and yummy food. I was in town for work and always love a French restaurant. My buddy and I got extremely lucky because the Stanley Cup Finals were occurring, it was a Friday, and the hostess was kind enough to squeeze us in (luckily we tried early around 5:00p). I will always go for three items at a French restaurant. Onion soup, Escargot, and Steak Tartare, and all three were not just good, but amazing. The service was great, the atmosphere was great, and the food was amazing. Next time I’m in Edmonton for work I know where I’ll go again.
