JAPONAIS BISTRO REVIEWS
Excellent fusion Japanese food in Edmonton! Great drinks, sushi, appys and dessert. Came on a week night and it was packed so reservation is recommended. I really liked the premium nigiri plate which consist of 3 pieces of blue fin tuna (akami, chutoro and otoro) and 3 pieces of aburi nigiri, other than that, wagyu beef was also very good and melts in your mouth after cooking table side, save room for dessert! $$$$ slightly on the pricy side about 100 dollars per person spent including drinks and dessert.
Got the spinach gomae which tasted like sweet black sesame dessert dumplings except that instead of dough it’s with hot water rinsed spinach which tasted amazing. Chicken karaage on its own is amazing, the mayo and chili oil sauce is just okay I wish it came with something sour like a ginger yuzu sauce as standard but the karaage itself more than makes up for it. Dynamite roll is good for what it is. Pressed salmon sushi is amazing. Chill atmosphere. Will visit again.
Really nice place! Food was delicious and we had a great time there. We order cold Sake and it was amazing too. Staff was really nice too. We’ll be back soon.

DORINKU TOKYO REVIEWS
The food was amazing! Definitely reccomend any of the pressed sushis, we ordered more of them after. The cabonara udon is interesting and very creamy. Had the lychee cocktail which was really nice! The server was very friendly and knowledgeable, explaining any questions we had. It was my friend's birthday and they were gifted a little free dessert with a sparkler! The ambiance is nice and cozy, the washrooms were also well kept. Will come again!
Absolutely love dining here! It is almost full every time we go, so if you’re going as a large group it is advised to book ahead! The service is amazing too! The carbonara udon noodle and sushi’s are to die for !! The chicken karagee was so crispy yet juicy !
2 weeks agoNew I had a great experience here. I didn't want to drink and the lady offered some non alcoholic blue drink. I can't remember what it was, but it was good. I got some small clam shell dish and the appetizers with the raw octopus. It was very good. Staff was very nice to me. I been here twice. It was always packed and I always had a good experience.

IZAKAYA TOMO JAPANESE TAPAS BAR REVIEWS
havent gone back here in years because our first visit didnt leave a mark back in 2018. Not sure if they changed the menu or the chefs but everything we ordered this time tasted great. The portions were justifiable. The prices were not too expensive considering the inflation these days. Loved the traditional decor and calm ambiance. It was a busy rush hour and we didnt have a reservation. We had to be at the bar but didnt mind it since there was only two of us. We got to see the chefs make the food in live time. Will definitely visit again
Best Izakaya experience in Edmonton! It was my wife's birthday and they made us feel like family. Terry was phenomenal and the food was out of this world. Each of the dishes left us speechless. Highly recommended!
Terrific sushi, very polite staff, the food is great. My waitress Amy is super helpful at explaining the various dishes and that's a huge help. She's very polite and always has a smile. I have eaten here over 10 times and each has been a terrific experience.
