“Metropolitain Brasserie Restaurant is a traditional French restaurant that serves classic fare in a relaxed atmosphere. This is Located in the Metropolitan Centre. The best part of a classic brasserie is the conversation. The food and drinks are fantastic, and the oyster bar can't be beaten, but the conversations that emerge in the traditional brasserie atmosphere set it apart. The restaurant serves French dishes, steak, seafood, and sandwiches. Kids can enjoy their delicious Chicken Strips, Grilled Shrimp Skewer, Battered Cod, Pasta Bolognese, Grilled Cheese, and Kid's Caesar Salad. All kid's meals include milk, juice, or bottomless soda. The restaurant is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch on the weekends. Metropolitain Brasserie Restaurant has vegetarian and gluten-free menu options. They also serve happy hour food. Online orders are also available.

2025 Update: The restaurant features the largest raw bar capacity, accommodating up to 40 guests. Their Paris Room offers an elegant and romantic setting, complete with large mirrors, French chandeliers, and tin ceilings. It can seat up to 125 guests, and the dance floor hosts 100 guests.”

Absolutely amazing. I recommend asking the server for cocktails suggestions.. they have many. I enjoyed The Met. They offer excellent raw bar happy hour specials (oysters for $3 each!). For dinner I had the Coq au vin .. which was divine. The place is legit! Food is top notch, decor is beautiful decor and the staff care about their jobs and the patrons. Can't wait to go back.

We had an exceptional meal this weekend which was enhanced by our knowledgeable and friendly server. We started with cocktails that were promptly prepared and delivered a delicious opening to the meal that was to come. The beef tartare, escargot, duck confit, and bouillabaisse are highly recommended.

Very tasty food, it was after 2h00pm when we went but the services were impacable. Very nice place for a healthy and fresh food. The desert was amazing , the yam pie delicious.

We had a great family lunch today at this cosy little family restaurant. Our server was very attentive, warm and welcoming, the food was above expectations. The place looks like an art gallery so 5 stars for the atmosphere. All of our little quirks found a proper and accommodating response from the staff. I loved the steak with the lobster tail add-on. The desserts were made from scratch on spot and were pretty good. And something I would add as feedback (and this is typical to lots of North America based joints that lack the European espresso culture, I know this is minuscule but still) I ordered a double espresso and got a Lungo. The server was so nice I didn't say anything cause it was a perfect lunch and we all had such a great time. The owner (Bill's son) a guys in his 60s came around a few times and checked if everything is ok, which made us fell important. I would definitely come again, it was a great choice -next time we'll go for the Lobster risotto.

Lovely dinner. The Seafood Chowder was tasty, the Zucchini Fritters. Delicious as was the Caesar Salad. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable as she assisted one of us with severe dietary restrictions. The atmosphere is lovely but, this time, with large birthday and a graduation parties, quite loud. Overall a very nice experience. We’ll be back.

Good selection of Scotch whiskies, served in a Glencairn glass! Great staff: friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. High-end comfort food: shared the lobster won tons, then had the best "Mac and cheese" I've ever tasted (me calling it Mac and cheese does it a great disservice!). Very nice wine selection as well.

COCOTTE BISTRO REVIEWS

Came here for apero hour on a Sunday with a group of friends and the atmosphere is super cute, very upscale decor and feel. The apero hour had reasonable pricing for beers and wines and light bites. Would love to come back to try dinner. I did really enjoy the salmon tartare and the truffle fries. They are also one of the only few places that take brunch reservations so I would give this a try as well.

Cocotte has definitely become one of my favourite restaurants! We went for dinner and ordered oysters, the risotto, the veal, and the famous Ottawa-Brest. We were not only very impressed by the delicious food, but also enjoyed the fabulous and thoughtful service. Not to mention, the atmosphere is great.

I had a great experience at Cocotte! The decor and overall ambiance was gorgeous. They have a happy hour from 3-6pm. French Onion soup was a good choice.
