Pinecone Burke Provincial Park is a provincial park in Coquitlam. One of the best-looking things for hikers on a short trail around here is the waterfall at the end. It is the perfect place to enjoy the trails and plenty of wildlife. It is also an excellent place for mountain bike trails. The viewpoint of Coquitlam lake is always amazed by the hikers. Burke Mountain has a network of historic logging roads, hiking and mountain bike trails, and canoe access to Widgeon Slough and hiking trails leading to Widgeon Lake. Pinecone Burke Provincial Park is a large outdoor area with many trails to explore. It is a fantastic place for a picnic, bike and hike.

Minnekhada Regional Park is a natural park located in Coquitlam, BC. It was designed as a Wildlife Watch site. It covers over 200 hectares with trails and abundant trees. The park features three primary trails Quarry, Mid-Marsh, and Lodge/Fern Trails. Each trail has a length of 5.2 kilometres. The network of quiet trails is a great place to hike and watch for wildlife. There are signs at every point so that you will know your way. Minnekhada Regional Park also has five lookout points. The park is open to the public throughout the year.

Here’s The Deal:
Coquitlam River Park is 165 acres of municipal parkland has walking trails extending for 9.8 kilometres. There are several swimming holes along the river as well for those sweltering summer days. There are plenty of trails on both sides of the river, which are great for biking, walking, and running. The park has an ancient river, a tributary of the Fraser. It evokes a different experience in each season. You could easily spend half-day hiking and walking down one side of the river, cross over, and walk up the other side. Coquitlam River Park is one of the best places to watch the seasons change.
