Mundy Park is a huge park located in central Coquitlam. It has many trails that take you through various evergreen and deciduous trees. The Douglas firs and cedars are especially outstanding. The park has two lakes, Mundy Lake and Lost Lake. On cold winters these have been a great attraction for skaters. On the west side of the park are several ballfields and soccer fields. It also has a children's playground. It is a wonderful park to enjoy for all age groups.

Went for a lovely hike in Minnekhada Park with our pups. The park was well marked and easy to get to. There are various trails some dirt, some gravel. Some parts are not suitable for small children as they are very steep and slippery rock surfaces. All in all it was a lovely day in Coquitlam! There was only one garbage can at the entrance so if you have a dog you'll be carrying the doggy bag for the whole hike.

Shaughnessy Street, Karley Crescent, Coquitlam, BC V3E 3E9

Hiking Trail, Crossing the Small Streams, Past the Old Pickup Truck, Shore and Through the Scenic, Falls, Mountain Walk, Dog Walkers, Mountain Bikers, Waterfall, Nature & Park

The area is also popular with dog walkers and mountain bikers & the route can be very muddy for several months of the year - 6.1 kilometer heavily trafficked out and back trail - The area can be quite busy during the warmer weather months

Open 24 hours

The Crystal Falls trail was a very easy hike. For this particular section, the trail head starts at the end of Shaughnessy Street. Stay on the trail for about 40 minutes, going over a few streams and around many mud puddles after it has rained and you will come to the falls at the end. There were a few good stops along the way to sit, take in the river and to take in all the nature around you. Some parts of the trail can be narrow.
