“2025 Update: Poirier Community Centre has performing arts, social and educational programs and activities for all ages and families. They have a lot of classes for kids, ranging from cooking and music to martial arts. This area is good for you to communicate with your neighbors. There are many facilities to have a good time, like the library. Poirier Community Centre has also ensured accessibility, with washrooms equipped with hand or foot-operated power doors and occupancy lights. There's free parking, a waiting area inside with tables, and a music-themed playground for the little ones beside it. Poirier Community Centre is a great place to start to get more information about youth leadership and volunteer opportunities.”

POIRIER SPORT & LEISURE COMPLEX REVIEWS

Poirier Sport & Leisure has the best facilities in tricities, with ice skating and lacrosse rings. The swimming pool and the hot tubs are awesome and family friendly. Not so popular with the advanced swimmers as the swimming classes always are happening and not enough space for long distance swimmers. The staffs are very welcoming and instructors specially in ice skating are very talented. There are lots of free parking spaces, on hockey nights hard to get spot thought. Next to the facility there is a track and field,great for joggers and runners. There is cafeteria on the second floor selling burgers and other fast food goodies.

We love taking the grandchildren to the skating ring, the swimming pool is small enough to keep an eye on them. My only objection if I may is how hardly dressed the female swim instructors are. I understand times have changed, however wearing thong bathing suits I personally feel is a little too much, not appropriate for the ocassion. My humble opinion. There ought to be a little more conservative guidelines.

We went to this awesome sports and leisure complex as ISSofBC volunteers encouraging newcomers to speak more English in daily life by watching a hockey game together! Love the energetic vibes with lots of positivity and glory of history! Proud of living in Tri-city and share the holistic hall of fame!

PINETREE COMMUNITY CENTRE REVIEWS

I used the badminton courts, and the rating corresponds to that. They have six courts but because of covid only three are available. The pictures show all six. Booking was very easy and also very cheap: $10 for 75 minutes. The check in process was easy and fact. When we were using the courts, we were the only ones (it was during business hours) so we could choose any court we wanted. I will be frequenting this place. Hope to get to try their other facilities as well.

Friendly, kind, fun, helpful staff. Everytime I go here, I never have a bad experience. Weekend drop ins are my favorite things to do. The gym is well kept, and the staff participate with you. I love this place and it's location, and staff.

My daughter really loves classes she attends at Pinetree Community Center! Teachers, Instructors, and all staff are nice and friendly and always happy to help. That’s why we always can leave our child there confidently!

POIRIER COMMUNITY CENTRE REVIEWS

This is actually a review of the little tot lot next to the community centre. This is the best playground for little ones! The signage says for ages 2-5. My almost 1 year old had a great time today. The two structures are very much earlier walker friendly. There are also a few things to keep older siblings (3-5) entertained - music equipment, a spinner and an "ant hill" you can put hot wheels cars through.

Poirier Community Centre is a staple in the Coquitlam community. The gardens and covered walkways are fantastic for a relaxing walk with a small child or your dog. The city has done a fabulous job with the flowers and gardens that lead you to the rose garden next door. This is definitely a great place to hang out and wait for your child if they are in hockey, swimming or other sport across the street.

Great for little crawlers and toddlers. Suitable for preschoolers as well. Closed in by gate so the littles won't run away. Not usually very busy. Connected to the community center but open to the public.
