Coquitlam City Hall is home to the Coquitlam City Council in a three-storey, 80,700-square-foot (7,500 m²) complex housing council chambers, city office space, and a public library. This well-known building is conveniently located next to the RCMP, Evergreen, Aquatic Centre, and SkyTrain. Coquitlam Heritage at Mackin House preserves and promotes history and is one of the last remaining Fraser Mill homes. Coquitlam Heritage at Mackin House continues to symbolize Coquitlam’s rich history and is an ideal spot to learn about how people lived 122 years ago or more and their culture. Coquitlam Heritage at Mackin House even provides visitors with French programming and recreational activities. Today, Mackin House is staged with period-appropriate furniture and artifacts to give visitors a sense of what life in Coquitlam would have been like for someone in the upper middle class.
