“Limehouse Conservation Area is owned and managed by Credit Valley Conservation. It is located 8km downtown from Halton Hills, ON. This refuge is a 190-acre forested area with restored lime kilns, fissures, information boards, and hiking trails. Several old monuments can be seen in the area. There are many cave-like crevices to explore. Most of the trail is shaded by trees, providing a good respite from hot days. Limehouse Conservation Area has a rich historical background and ample parking spaces. They offer free entry for all the visitors.

2025 Update: Limehouse Conservation Area has the Radial Rail Trail, 0.8 km with an estimated hiking time of 15 minutes, the Bruce Trail, 2 km with an estimated hiking time of 30 minutes, and the Black Creek Side Trail, 1.5 km with an estimated hiking time of 25 minutes. It is a forested area with restored lime kilns and fissures, plus information boards and hiking trails.”

Terra Cotta Conservation Area's 485 acres of rugged terrain on the Niagara Escarpment offer nature trails and six reservable and general picnic areas. This refuge is tranquil and close to nature, providing an incredible feeling. The staff is friendly, follows procedures, and keeps the washrooms clean. This excellent walking area has various trails, ponds, and picnic areas. Most trails make a loop, so you can walk as long as you want.

2025 Update: Terra Cotta Conservation Area offers wheelchair accessibility. Dogs are allowed in Terra Cotta Conservation Area.”

Had a great hike here. There are a few beautiful trails to walk. Spent 5 hours really exploring the park and multiple kms of the Bruce trail. There are a couple spots with benches to rest which is nice. The trails are well marked. Our dog played in the creek and really enjoyed running as well as exploring the trails. I think we walked the full length of the park because we ended up at the road and had to walk up the hilly road back into the enterance where we parked! Can’t wait to come back in the spring and summer months.

I really enjoyed my experience here. The trail is straight forward until you get to the rocky area. There is a rope to section off the ledge of the rocky decline. Then you get to the ladder that descends to a cave. It's quite calming once you make it down. Then the trail regains it's ease. You will see a creek with some ruins. A beautiful park to visit Dog-friendliness: It's very rocky. They're cracks to be mindful of, and the ladder may not be easy to manage for dogs

Had a great time walking the whole circuit of trails, ruins were pretty interesting and well maintained. Walking to the trails was pretty easy, though can be a challenge depending on the route you choose to walk returning to the parking lot.

The well maintained paths provide an excellent escape for hiking and exploring the beauty of the great outdoors. Families will find the picnic areas ideal for a relaxing and enjoyable day out. Whether you're looking for a peaceful walk, or a fun family picnic, Terracotta Conservation Area has it all. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a delightful nature experience and escape from the city.

Nice park with good accessibility. Many trails around the lake of different intensity. I like the area around the wetland. Be careful of insects and mosquitoes though. Better to use repellent spray on your clothes to deter mosquitoes. Fall is the right time to visit the park but try to avoid the patch when it rained in the previous 4 or 5 days, since the trails can become muddy and not enjoyable.

Amazing place! Friendly staff, clean bathrooms, crazy views, perfectly marked trails, great nature, not many people - we enjoyed every second of it! And a cherry on top - a trailer with cookies, ice-cream and cheesecake near the entrance. Admission is 6,5 bucks per adult, you can buy your tickets beforehand or after you arrive. Definitely recommend.

Amazing trail with lots of rocks, which is not boring and gives more fun for trail walk. It might not ideal for walking with little young kids. Area was very beautiful in fall, will re-visit in spring time! There’s no designated parking spots, street parking allowed and fresh entrance to the area.

A must visit hiking trail this summer! Love the forested area with a refreshing small creek. Very calming place to hike.
