LIMEHOUSE CONSERVATION AREA
“The Limehouse Conservation Area, situated on the Niagara Escarpment near Limehouse, Ontario, is owned and managed by Credit Valley Conservation. This refuge is a 190-acre forested area with restored lime kilns, fissures, information boards, and hiking trails. Several old monuments can be seen in the area. The trails cover a distance of approximately 4.5 kilometres and can be explored in about 3 hours. There are many cave-like crevices to explore. Most of the trail is shaded by trees, providing a good respite from hot days. Limehouse Conservation Area has a rich historical background and ample parking spaces. The refuge offers free entry for all the visitors.”
