This is a great place to visit in all seasons, there are multiple walking paths, picnic areas, plants, trees and flowers, as well as a pond in which you can rent canoes, pedal boats, or just sit and enjoy. There is a big park for kids, too, a pony merry-go-round and mini farm, etc. We visited in spring, summer and fall, and each visit was enjoyable (haven't tried in the winter yet, but plan to). It's a great place to walk and relax and picnic, and the scenery is beautiful.

Mille-Iles River Park is mainly composed of a series of islands on the river between Laval and the North Shore. With a growing interest in kayaking, my wife and I went there this morning (12 minutes from our home and had a great time paddling the calm waters amidst the islands in the company of ducks, geese and other kayak and canoe enthusiasts. Rental fees for watercraft (kayaks, canoes, peddle boats, rowboats, etc) are quite reasonable and there are no parking or admission fees.
